Kimbo Slice‘s pro-boxing debut last night in Oklahoma ended in highlight-reel fashion, as the former bare-knuckle YouTube brawler/MMA fighter turned out James Wade‘s lights with a crushing right uppercut, sending him through the bottom rope just 10 seconds into the match. Check out the video above for two different angles of the finish; as you can see, it took a long time for Wade to regain his senses.
Ariel Helwani passes along the word that Kimbo’s next match is scheduled for October 15th, possibly on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins vs. Chad Dawson. Can Kevin Ferguson really be an injection into boxing’s heavyweight division?

It's easier to sit back and snipe. Surely the editors here would agree with me.
.
Two can always play that game. If you could just see me now, all emotional (we have this in common) and now eating my Animal Crackers. Here we differ, where you prefer the white, I prefer the pink. (did you catch that one)
.
I made a mistake being rushed for time. Big deal. What do you post besides overly emotional admissions?
To top off your brilliance:
XENOPHON says:
- Also, Vitor Belfort and Justin Eilers have recently made pro debuts (against no-names) and won as did Rogerio Nogueira
Well, Belort made his pro boxing debut nearly six years ago, and had one fight.
As for Justin Eilers, maybe the Wikipedia page you hoped would do your reasoning for you wasn't very updated, but I don't think he will be continuing his boxing career anytime soon. Look it up, jackass.

LOL - that's a good one bro. I've never taken Ambien, but I have a friend of mine who takes it daily. The same asshole, once boosted some Xanax from a actress tramp he was banging and who lived in San Diego - Carlsbad.
.
We had been tipping beers on the road home from her place (after her girlfriend shot me down, leaving me with blue balls) and I decided try one thinking it was an aspirin during the ride home. We had to pull off the road about 20 minutes later as I was doing 35 mph and didn't realize it.
.
After a siesta on the side of the 5 freeway in Oceanside, I realized it was still day time when I awoke about an hour later. The Cal Trans sprinklers had turned on, completely drenching me. I know because I remember spitting some water out of my mouth.
.
As we pulled away from the curb and left our ice-plant bedding, the sign to the right clear stated: "Non-potable water, not for human consumption!"
.
All we could do was laugh. So fuck that management with the "dressed inappropriately" bullshit, sometimes life is about letting it all hang out! What's that saying, "Go big, or go home!" Champion points to you!
Yeah, I did a second tour - first one was between 85-89, with nearly a 10 year break in between uniformed service. Actually the 2 decades was spent both in and out of uniform.
.
That's not so unheard of, if your vet yourself. My specialty is Littoral Warfare. Your free to put the pieces together. I've worked with at about 100 men as good as me, if not better than me.
.
There's no issue, I am not interested in buying or bragging about shit. Others talk about their time in the motor pool, supply, or digging a foxhole. My experiences have been different, that's all.
.
The only mention was in retort was to the accusation that I was "...new to the fight game."
A sommelier, impressive for this neck of the woods. An individual of fine taste and a high degree of intelligence, I see. New Zealand. Been there done that.
.
Actually, I love the place. Got laid in a Auckland car park at the corner of Quay and Hobson Streets - catty corner to the Voyager display next to the Maritime Museum. (you know where that's at?)
.
I now know who Kelly Tarlton is, and he makes my list of top 10 people.
.
Pissed above the glow cave at Rangiriri, and got a personal tour of the Maori fortification where some fierce land battles took place and where the Maori opened a can of whip ass on the British. (best tour of all time)
.
I partied with some Hell's Angels in Hamilton, but got skunked the following days spent at Raglan, which happens to be the low point of the travels, and happens to be where I dam near punched some tourists who happened to work for Peugeot or Renault in the face.
.
I must say, Kiwis (especially when riled up) can speak faster English than any other native speakers on the face of the planet.
.
I had the best breakfast ever in the Bay Islands (in Opua), and took hobo's siesta under the pier in Russell.
.
Soon I will be going back, this time for some fun. With some luck I might one day own a bach in Pahia, a stones throw from the action.
.
As for the tip over the Bordeaux with its roundier fruit profile-GRIN, I'm going to make it point to see if I can purchase some today.
I thought you were just on Ambien when you wrote on here, but it's clearly the middle of the day. Knocking a latina out of a tree with a shovel +1. Watch out with that Ambien, I took some at my buddy's house and he got a phone call the next day from management saying that one of his guest had wandered into the leasing office at 8:30am "dressed inappropriately, unable to communicate what he needed" before getting escorted out of there. I remember none of that, they're in there trying to lease apartments and I'm sitting there half retarded with my cock hanging out of my boxers... shit's no joke.
.
i fucking hate everyone equally..
.
.
as for kimbo doing anything in boxing remotely worhty of even mentioning??? that will never happen..
.
.
he will beat a few nobody's and get hyped up, and then his first fight against anyone who even is remotley known , he will get crushed. he is doing the same thign he did in MMA, he hyping himslef up to make a wad full of money, then he will move on once he has been exposed as a nothing. EXCEPT he will be richer by far for doing it....
.
. good for kimbo. take the scrath where ya can get it
I'm a two time veteran and spent at least two decades with special mission elements. I can hit a Sparrow mid flight - moving down wind with a pellet gun for dinner.
.
As for the fight game, been at it much longer than most. I can bring it with some skin in the game, with a knife, or from 100 yards out via Full Metal Jacket. My record is at least 50-2-2, the 2 decisions was against girls.
.
One bitch (black) took a chair over the top of the head inside a classroom, and for the other (latina) I had to use a shovel to knock her ass out of a tree. Trust me, they both had it coming. GRIN
.
All the others fights were against men, absolutely. Maybe I am wrong about Kimbo, but I threw it out non the less. We can come back to this topic in 2-3 years and see just how much he lined his pockets with.
I grew up with all races, with lots of brawls, and during that time it was the "politically correct" thing to say. Looking back now, it was written and taught out of the text books - like the tuck, duck, and cover bullshit.
Call me old school, but I still think the best record I ever owned was Richard Pryor's - "That Niggers Crazy", recorded live. It's up there with know what the Pop and the Lock are all about. BTW, I'm not black.
Potato you should hire this guy to write articles for a comedy section for this site.
.
And the comment "So you negroe hater’s talk shit about Kimbo, but you might soon one day find that he finds his way into the MMA “Hall of Fame. - Think I’m full of shit?"
.
ABSOLUTELY
- Keep in mind Kimbo's MMA record (exhibition and professional) is 5-3, which as a ratio is as good as many of the top 10 ranked UFC talent.
- True, Wade is no top level professional boxer, but then again neither is my man "Bird-Slice." If he can lift a couple million from the UFC after only 3 years of MMA, I'm sure he will be able to line his pockets with an equivalent amount of felt from the boxing community - a place he is most comfortable in.
- As a side note, some may not like Slice...but as long as he keeps a winning record going, the MMA community will forever be able to boast that aside from his street brawls, it was MMA which built such a rounded fighter.
- I can envision the headlines some day. "Former-UFC superstar challenges for boxing title!" That will be the day, MMA completely displaces boxing. So you negroe hater's talk shit about Kimbo, but you might soon one day find that he finds his way into the MMA "Hall of Fame".
- Think I'm full of shit? If Kimbo ever challenges for any of professional boxing's titles (even the worthless ones) he will have done what no boxer will ever be able to do. On the flip side Toney failed to even comes close.
- As for Noons or Nishijima, neither of them will ever carry the brand with as much recognition, as the name Kimbo Slice.
- other notables:
- Marcus Davis (17-1-2) Impressive record but mostly against nobodies. Retired in 2000.
- Chris Lytle (13-1-1) Successful at the lower levels; still an active boxer
- Alessio Sakara (6-1-0) Totally unimpressive; all wins over cans including one who's 0-19.
- Jens Pulver (4-0-0) Good so far, but hasn't been tested.
- Melvin Guillard (0-1-1) Apparenly those quick hands don't translate to boxing.
- *Yosuke Nishijima (24-2-1) Decent fighter, but not world class. Held WBF title in a weak division.
- Kit Cope (1-1-0) Not much of a career.
- Patrick Cote (0-1-0) Lost to a guy with a 3-8 record.
- Yves Edwards (2-0-0) Just started boxing in '04
- Mark Hunt (0-1-1) This guy outstruck Crocop?
- Tra Telligman (4-2-0) Short and mediocre career
- K.J. Noons (11-2) former EliteXC and StrikeFarce champion
- Also, Vitor Belfort and Justin Eilers have recently made pro debuts (against no-names) and won as did Rogerio Nogueira
