Well, here it is — video of congenital amputee Kyle Maynard’s amateur MMA debut at Auburn Fight Night on Saturday. Despite the passionate support from the crowd, Maynard was never able to take the fight where he wanted it, as Bryan Fry steadily dodged his takedown attempts. Rounds 2 and 3 are after the jump, as well as a clip from SportsCenter featuring highlights from the match.

Supposedly Maynard disputed the results, but apparently he didn't have a leg to stand on."

Inquiring minds want to know....
I don't care what anyone says about it being "bad for the sport". At the end of the day it comes down to the fact that the best mixed martial artists in the world can put on a worse show (Anderson Silva), and some relative nobody can come in and take the sport to the next level (GSP ending the Matt Hughes era/again Anderson Silva). Point being, 99% of the naysayers and critics, myself included, will never get inside a cage and find out what we're made of - and 99.9% of us have two arms and two legs. It doesn't matter what happens to the sport, the sport came about so that people from every different "martial arts" background, right down to bar brawling, could step in the same arena and see what they're made of. Whoever doesn't realize that needs to take a step back and see the big picture. Do you like MMA because it's "cool", because there's blood, because of all the technical moves? I like MMA because the black belt doesn't always submit the brawler, the big puncher gets heel hooked by the much smaller guy, the underdog takes out the champ in dramatic fashion when you least expect it. And because a guy with no arms and no legs has the BALLS to get in a CAGE with a another man and FIGHT him.
My dad told me a long, long time ago - and its helped me win more than one bar fight against long odds...
"It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."
NO, EVERYONE IS NOT A WINNER. IN FACT THE MAJORITY OF SOCIETY ARE FUCKING LOSERS IN LIFE. TAKE CAPS LOCK HAL, HE IS A LOSER.
BUT SERIOUSLY, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TESTING YOUR LIMITS, AND THEN PUTTING YOURSELF IN A POSITION WHERE THE COMPETITION SOFTENS UP SO YOU DON'T "FEEL SO BAD".
THIS MATCH WAS A FUCKING JOKE TO BEGIN WITH, IT'S LIKE A ROIDED OUT INFANT CRAWLING AROUND THE CAGE. FRY SHOULD'VE JUST ELBOWED THE SHIT OF OF HIM AND ENDED THE DAMN THING IN QUICK FASHION, BUT NO THE "PC" POLICE MADE SURE TO GET IN HIS MIND THAT HE NEEDED TO GIVE KYLE A SPORTING CHANCE.
FUCKING PATHETIC. MY KID MAY OR MAY NOT WIN A LOT OF HIS LITTLE LEAGUE GAMES, BUT AT LEAST HE KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WINNER AND A LOSER, UNLIKE THE MAJORITY OF SHELTERED TARDS' IN AMERICA.
Actually at that level winning without them is a bit bigger of an achievement. If you haven't had them long enough, it's not something you dwell on.
One moment of glory or being able to use the Urinal for the rest of my life.
