If you missed last night’s episode of MMA Live, not to worry, we got you covered, mang.
If you couldn’t be bothered to actually watch it and expect us to give you the pertinent stuff in a nutshell, we got you covered there, too.
Here’s what you missed:
- Kenny Florian says he would be interested in a fight with Jim Miller at UFC 129 in Toronto if his injured knee (which did not require surgery to repair a torn meniscus and ACL) heals in time.
- Bjorn Rebney says that the new Bellator deal with MTV will ensure that their events are not pre-empted if they go over their broadcast time, which will be the same each week.
- Rebney also said that despite his efforts the Strikeforce co-promoted Gilbert Melendez-Eddie Alvarez match-up is pretty much dead in the water at this point.
- Junior Dos Santos has been training his Muay Thai with Brandon Vera at Alliance in San Diego.
- Dos Santos has said that he is planning to keep his championship bout with UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez (which is rumored to be slated for the April show in Toronto) standing.
- Both Rashad Evans and Ken-Flo believe that their teammate Georges St-Pierre will fight Jake Shields in Toronto.

commentsYou know, become a top-tenner and then a top-fiver, and finally, after enough victories, become the top contender. Like that.
Jake Shields was the champ of a different weight class in a lesser promotion. For reals, if we wanted to challenge the best Jake Shields there is at the peak of his game, give him a shot at the MW title.
If he survives a fight against Silva, only then will he be in a position to ask DFW permission to drop to WW in order to eventually challenge GSP for the belt.
A little common sense, Joe Silva. Milk that challenge of the champions thing a while. Let the fans fight it out online. Let him get destroyed by A. Silva, spend a while recovering, then allow him to be clobbered by GSP.
From there, GSP moves up a weight class to challenge MW, and Shields can fade into the background along with Jens Pulver and every other overrated douche who doesn't yet know his career is over. Just sayin'. Jeezus, sorry for the novel.
Wait, no...Dan Quinn is definitely more exciting... playboy.
GSP has no business being in the ring with Anderson Silva. The true Anderson Silva, the Anderson who first came to the UFC and walked through everyone, would kill GSP.
I stopped buying PPV cards with St. Pierre on them long ago...same with Penn. I'm not paying $50 to see GSP dry hump people all 5 rounds and for Penn to be utterly high on 'something', as he goes from looking like a killer to looking like he is thinking of what type of cereal he wants in the morning, instead of fighting.
If Belfort comes correct with his dynamite fast hands of old, that fight with Anderson might be over fairly fast. Silva may have more weapons, but the phenom has better ones.
