Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

[VIDEO] Nick Diaz’ Battle Against Humility And Class Rolls on at UFC 158 Post Event Press Conference

Before the judges’ decision for UFC 158′s main event between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz was even announced, Diaz walked over to the man he’d been taunting for years and raised the champion’s hand. It was a far cry from the head games Diaz had been playing with Georges – calling him a coward, accusing him of using steroids, taking swings at him after a round bell, etc. – and St. Pierre returned the gesture of respect in his post-fight comments in the ring to interviewer Joe Rogan.

It did not take long, however, for Diaz to once more insult St. Pierre, at the post event press conference. “He hits like a woman,” a battered Diaz told the assembled media.

“He has his full on range to separate and punch me, but he hits like a girl because he’s too scared to let go to get a real punch in…Five rounds woke me up, I’m ready to fight.”

We’re not sure how Diaz’ buddy Ronda Rousey would feel about him using the female tag as an insult, but she’d probably advise the challenger to make sure he’s ready at the opening bell next time, instead of after twenty five minutes in.

That is, anyway, if Diaz ever even fights again. The veteran re-stated his interest in retiring from the sport he’s competed in professionally since adolescence. “I’m trying to retire,” Diaz said. “I’m trying to get out of this gig, but I would love a rematch. I think I could beat you. I really do, I think I could beat him. I think I could stop the take downs for the first two rounds and get to fight my whole fight and I think I could beat you.”

UFC President Dana White was succinct in shutting down any notion of an immediate title shot for Diaz. “He wouldn’t get a rematch off that fight,” White said. “Johny Hendricks deserves the next shot.”

White also had some advice for Diaz after another strange admission from the California resident. Nick Diaz told the media that he has never paid taxes in his life and that he expects to go to prison for it.

“I’ve never paid taxes in my life,” Diaz revealed.

“I’m probably going to go to jail. And no one wants to hear that kind of talk and what’s going on with me. I might as well just be a kid. I’ve had fight after fight after fight after fight, and you don’t know what that does to somebody who didn’t graduate high school.”

“Holy sh_t. That’s sad,” White said of Diaz’ admission. “You wanna talk about sad? That’s sad. Somebody better handle that with this check and make sure that kid doesn’t end up with nothing.”

Diaz’ manager Cesar Gracie should add getting his client to pay his taxes to the long list of things he should be doing as a part of his job, along with getting him to show up to contractually obligated events.

Oh yeah, Diaz said he slept until 8pm the day of the event and criticized his coaching and teammates as absent and negligent.

Craziness. Anyway, check out video of the full press conference after the jump to get your share of Diaz excuses, Diaz praising St. Pierre, Diaz insulting St. Pierre, and much more.

Pretty sure if Diaz come closer to winning he would still be calling GSP a bitch, and making excuses. I would say Diaz should retire but,at this point what does he have to fall back on? He should continue with his bad guy persona, its the only song he can sing. People will pay to see him get his ass beat by the home town hero/ nice guy of the year.
MrMcmachoman- March 20, 2013 at 10:26 am
Nick is obviously bitter, confused and will say anything for attention. He has the mind of a child, it's embarrassing.
mma4ever- March 18, 2013 at 12:56 pm

Man, all these people praising Condit like parrots who just finished reading Yahoo sports. Please. praise for Condit, but none for Hendricks. Really? Hendricks broke his hand in the first, and stayed in there until the final horn, did you forget about that? Have you ever felt what it's like to hit something, or grab something with said injury. That's what is called gutting it out. Hendricks is a legit beast. Condit got lucky that's all I can say, he's lucky he got to walk out of there with a decision loss instead of a concussion. Had Hendricks not broken his hand and been tentative himself, it would have been a totally different fight. If he can take Condit down at will with a broken hand, imagine what kind of control, and GnP he could have imposed on Condit with a healthy hand. On a last note, Dagnut, if you're going to nuthug someone remember this qoute from Iron Mike "Say what you want just spell my name right"

Another 5 rd decision for the champ. For a guy who spent the whole fight on top his face was really banged up. Mms4ever is a goof.Surprised he's not puttin everyone down.
Dagnut- March 18, 2013 at 2:56 am
Conduit won that fight. I don't Hendricks would;d be too keen to fight him again...he ate some big shots from hendricks and kept coming. For me Conduit came out of this weekend with the the most respect. If he hadn't been so tentative the first round, obviously he was worried about hendricks power, he would of won that fight. there are no doubts he would of won it in 5

Looks like Nick used the walking dead app to dead himself in that pic.
MorningwoodII- March 17, 2013 at 7:06 pm
satcat - he's not sniffing the water bottle he's spitting his chew juice into it.
MorningwoodII- March 17, 2013 at 7:05 pm
How about an Ellenberger vs Nick fight next while Hendricks fights GSP.
JayJitsu310- March 18, 2013 at 9:18 am
I agree, Ellenberger would be a perfect rebound fight to see if Diaz actually learned anything from this loss, as far as wrestling defense is concerned, and to see if Ellenberger is really a top contender. Unfortunately, as much as I like Diaz, I don't think we'll be seeing him for a while. Seems like there are a lot of things he needs to take care of so he can actually focus on being the great fighter he claims to be, mainly changing camps before he pisses away the rest of his career.
satcat- March 17, 2013 at 6:39 pm
We all know Diaz is a little bit crazy..But what's up with Johnny....He picked up his water bottle, opened it ,sniffed it then recapped it, set it back down.He did this at least six times. What's up with that...
SumDumGuy- March 18, 2013 at 1:29 am
he's not sniffing the water, he's spitting in an empty one because he has a mouth full of chew
RwilsonR- March 17, 2013 at 6:35 pm
GSP might be boring, but he was more exciting than the two minutes of offense Diaz mustered. Those implying GSP wrestlefucked him all fight long obviously missed the 13+ minutes this fight spent on the feet where Diaz did almost nothing. Same as Diaz' fight against Condit. If someone does anything other than just stand in front of him and box, he has no answer and does nothing. Even if they do stand and box with him, he does nothing if his opponent actually decides to move and use footwork to go in and out and circle. So Diaz is only exciting if someone will stand there and play his punching bag. That's not exciting.
cman- March 17, 2013 at 5:30 pm
And that said: how are none of you bitching that Hendricks got a decision based on take downs? He never advanced, was losing on the ground and only went there because he was losing on the feet. When was the last time you saw a 2 time collegiate wrestler with top control scramble to get back on their feet? He couldn't KO condit with this dreaded left hand and had nothing else.
Yes that decision still pisses me off, it's EVERYTHING wrong with MMA judging. Hendricks won takedowns, lost every other aspect of that fight. It's a 5 criteria call asshats.
JayJitsu310- March 18, 2013 at 9:31 am
He went with takedowns because he broke his hand. What would you do? Possibly damage your hand beyond repair, jeopardizing your title shot and possibly your career? or adjust your game plan, and gut it out? Hendricks did nothing? really? Condit's bloodied face, and dirty back suggest otherwise. I have nothing but respect for Hendricks now. He handled his business.

I knew you'd understand 'heavy
JayJitsu310- March 18, 2013 at 9:50 am
Condit never came close to finishing Hendricks, Diaz, or GSP. Hendricks is the Bigg Rigg, and Condit is a dumptruck
cman- March 17, 2013 at 5:23 pm
I know we all want the walk off KO's. but I see GSP active, punishing, and in control. Fitch minus rd 3 with penn was lay and pray. GSP always is advancing position, freeing a limb to strike, looking for subs, and just does so without exposing himself.
Seriously, if you need stand up wars go back to boxing. The ground game is a huge part off MMA. There's few wars in boxing also.
JayJitsu310- March 18, 2013 at 9:37 am
Seriously, I'm a Diaz fan, but GSP just manhandled him. No fear whatsoever. Champion status
whatchawhozeit- March 17, 2013 at 4:53 pm
@Nippletwist - I agree. I am not a fan of GSP but I was looking forward to seeing him come out and engage and try to put on that "worst beating in UFC history" looks like once he got in the cage and he heard the bell he had a Pavlovian moment and resorted back in to the "must win all rounds and take no major risk" strategy. I guess until someone goes in there and makes him take risks we will all be treated to the same fight time after time. That is why I like the undercard guys....they know they have to look good if they want to keep their jobs.
doctorman- March 17, 2013 at 4:49 pm
at 54:06 you hear someone close to the camera say
"he's so dumb"
so great.
Nippletwist- March 17, 2013 at 4:25 pm
georges actually looked more banged up than nick after the fight.

i feel like georges proved nicks criticism of him. it was a boring decision and all he did was hang on to him.

what happened to the worst beating in ufc history??
RearNakedSpoon- March 17, 2013 at 2:17 pm
He should take up pro wrestling under the name "Nick The Ass"

After bell cheap shotting punk bitch.
crappiefloper- March 17, 2013 at 12:46 pm
He's still to to file a tax return. That's his and his accounts job. You've got to file either way. If he needs Ceaser to old his hand and walk his retard ass down to the post office, 10-40EZ in hand, so be it I guess
Honeynutts- March 17, 2013 at 12:31 pm
Again, what's he think he's going to get paid to do now? Coming off a bad loss, probably going to fail his drug test. But he wants to retire. Good riddance moron.
cman- March 17, 2013 at 12:27 pm
Actually. Yes. He should be making sure taxes are paid before any dispersments.
crappiefloper- March 17, 2013 at 12:04 pm
It's a managers job to make sure he pays his taxes? Gotta wipe his retard ass too I bet
mma4ever- March 17, 2013 at 11:57 am

cman- March 17, 2013 at 11:41 am
Mexico extradites. And I refer back to my comments on Ceasar Gracie as a bottom feeding scumbag who id bet robs these boys blind. Never paid taxes? What exactly does Gracie do as his manager?
