Video of the Day: If You Prank Frank Mir, Expect to Get F*cked With

(Video courtesy of YouTube/UFCTHQ)

THQ released this hilarious video today of Frank Mir’s final day of motion capture filming for the next edition of UFC Undisputed. Apparently this dude from THQ thought it would be funny to get all of the fighters in the game to do the Hokey Pokey — either for his own satisfaction since he was likely picked on in high school or because he was planning on releasing the footage as a special feature or Easter egg.

Well, either Frank caught on to the ploy or someone tipped him off. Either way, he made the prankster shit his pants.

Jubbie - That's actually fascinating! To a computer geek like me. I read about that once and then promptly forgot about it. Thanks for the details.
.
And yes, who IS that fat woman in the cat suit?
ClinchthatstoleChristmas- January 12, 2012 at 11:14 pm
Frank: Pick on someone your own size Jeremy...

Now that I think about it, both our answers are probably correct. The second image has probably been manipulated but the first one is still being used for translation purposes. Before recently, the images didn't have random shit all over them at least for the ones I used to download porn off of.

Yea sorry if I was unclear. Basically the program is part of google's effort to use imaging software to "translate" scanned words from books. The words it can't figure out, they input into captcha for the mass public to translate for them. The one you have to type in correctly has already been deemed "translated" so it has a general sense of how the word should be typed. The second word is the one they're trying to get translated by compiling all the results from the people who actually fill in that word and figuring out what is most likely correct. So the program to cagepotato is a spam filter but has a secondary purpose to "translate" scanned text.

Who is that ugly chick in the skin tight underwear? She is gross.
Mofo- January 12, 2012 at 3:44 pm
Wow Jubbie that made no sense. Translated from what? How does the system determine one word from the other? The "system" simply takes two words, generates images from them, and then applies what you could think of as Photoshop filters to those words to make them hard to decipher by an OCR tool. Only a human can read it after the filters have made it all... squiggly. But the "system" knows what words it started with and simply compares what you type to those words (compares the two strings).
Jubbie- January 12, 2012 at 2:51 pm
It's actually the point of captcha. The one you have to type correctly is one the system has deemed correctly translated while the second word is the one the system is trying to determine. So like said above, you only need to type in the already translated one loosely correctly to win captcha.

To beat a dead horse: I'm leaving off the typewriter word typing only squiggly piggly.
RwilsonR- January 12, 2012 at 2:08 pm
And only squiggly word missing the last letter. I've now far surpassed my daily quota for the use of the word 'squiggly.'
RwilsonR- January 12, 2012 at 2:07 pm
Mike was right... Only the squiggly word counts.
RwilsonR- January 12, 2012 at 2:06 pm
Couldn't care less about Frank Mir, but testing Captcha theories...
danomite- January 12, 2012 at 2:01 pm
which one was Frank?
Mofo- January 12, 2012 at 1:38 pm
Scratch that, if both words are missing a letter, it still works.
Mofo- January 12, 2012 at 1:38 pm
@MRuss - First two times, I left a letter off the squiggly word, but typed the other word: was accepted.
.
Then I typed the squiggly but left a letter off the other word: was accepted.
.
But if I left off a letter on both words, I think that was where I got rejected.

Drewimus- January 12, 2012 at 11:14 am
I loled, guys.
Mike Russell- January 12, 2012 at 11:08 am
You only need to type the squiggly word in.
Mofo- January 12, 2012 at 10:36 am
So I just noticed you don't have to type the captcha correctly. Looks like it only requires some percentage of correctness, maybe it lets you leave off only one letter; so far I left of one letter twice and both posted fine. Leaving off more than one letter seems to get rejected.
.
So don't try so hard on the captchas! Smoke a blunt instead. This is a public service announcement to my CP brothers and sisters. (The spambots can't read a comment section so fuck em.)
