Video: Randy Couture Talks UFC 91 on Inside MMA

In the latest episode of Inside MMA, the gang discusses UFC 91 with Randy Couture. Based on his comments here, as well as the video of his training, Couture seems to think all there is to beating Lesnar is getting used to dealing with a big, heavy guy. Maybe he’s right. Then again, maybe the reason there’s only one Brock Lesnar is because few human beings are that big and also that athletic. I suppose we’ll find out.

Couture (along with TapouT’s Mask and the UFC’s Mike Swick) also discuss the Fedor Emelianenko-Andrei Arlovski bout, as well as the prospects of Couture-Fedor. They aren’t good, in case you’re wondering.

Andrei is good but Fedor will destroy him. Andrei couldn't handle Roy Nelson on the ground - Fedor will be even more trouble for him.

Im not a Fedor nuthugger, but realisticaly what chances do Arlovski have? Standing up he might be able to score some points without doing any real damage, but when it gets taken to the ground, (and it will), then arlovski is at the complete mercy of Fedor. He couldn't handle fat country on the ground, so what chance would he have against an infinitely more talented fighter?

I for one would love to see BAS get one more under his belt, sometimes it seams as if he would love to get back into the ring. It isn't like the guy is out of shape nor does it seam like he is far too old to get back in there one more time.

As for the on topic discussion I am going to have to pick Randy on this one. If he can make it out of the first two rounds the odds go up considerably for Randy in my opinion. On the other hand this bout looks more and more like a toss up everyday.

Fedor vs Randy is never gonna happen. People need to stop asking about it and get over it. I know I have, so lets move along people. The next person who asks Randy about Fedor is officially a douchebag, OK?

Randy vs Bas? Hmmmm. I'd go with Bas on that one.

Fedor vs Arlovski: I agree with Randy that this may be Fedor's toughest opponent yet. Arlovski is at the top of his game, although I did see a few holes when he fought Big Country. I'll chalk that up to both of them taking the fight on short notice. I would guess that Arlovski has been training for Fedor for quite a while.

I'd pick Fedor, but Arlovski absolutely has a really good chance of winning that match.
