The clip above is from Alistair Overeem‘s forthcoming documentary. The film itself looks decent and seems like it’s going to be interesting. I’m just hoping that Ubereem hasn’t decided to drop his "Demolition Man" monicker in favor of the lesser-used, ambiguously gay nickname, "The Reem."
He should ask UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar about the importance of choosing nicknames wisely. Only recently have fans and pundits forgotten that he actually began his MMA career fighting under the nickname "The Big Pink Pounder."

commentsThe correct way to clarify sexual intent after saying something that could go either way (no homo) is to so 'no homo'.
eg
"Have you seen that video of GSP and Nate Marquardt? No not the one where they wrestle, the one from after that, in the sauna."
"Yes, several times (no homo)."
I like Overeem. I think he's a very good fighter. I don't think he's a GREAT fighter but he's a solidly entertaining athlete. I think he's very beatable by anybody in the top 10-15 but he's also not completely outclassed by anybody, either.
If he was in the UFC, I see him being one of those guys who bounces between being an awesome gatekeeper and perpetual contender. One of those guys who COULD win the strap but would never be able to hang on to it very long.
Based on my own personal experience with AAS, lifting and training MMA, there's no way I can buy that he's gained that mass without help. There was just no way I could hold onto muscle that I gained by lifting and supplementing while also doing the ridiculous amount of cardio that Muay Thai and sub wrestling requires. If I want to train MMA, I've got to settle on a fairly genetically normal amount of muscle mass (plenty, though) - it was impossible for me to keep more on unless I supplemented beyond my comfort level and ate more than I could possibly afford.
I like him more than I like Rogers, thats for sure.
I am impress.
I still don't understand how Strikeforce can give the title shot to Brett, but not Fedor. Stuff like that makes me think of Strikeforce as amateurish and doomed.
edit - @HokeySmokeywithAoki... Never. If I ever comment "War Overeem" I will officially ban myself from CP comments forever.
"Maybe Overeem is the best heavyweight?", "I bet he would destroy Lensar", "Fedor doesn't have a chance", "WAR OVEREEM!"
Yeah, those where his golden years. When Bas Rutten was still an El Guapo, Frye still creamed chicks with his stash, Severn was still an American Idol, TUF guy was still in his fadders nutsack, etc...
i.e. has "Rickson by armbar" been replaced by "Ken Shamrock by ...."
I'm trying to remember back to when Shamrock ended fights...heel hook?
