(Round one. Rounds two and three are after the jump.)
A monstrous-looking Alistair Overeem lost via decision to K-1′s Remy Bonjasky late last night, much to the delight of the K-1 crowd that was trying their hardest to frame this as a K-1 vs. MMA bout. Fortunatley for Bonjasky it wasn’t. Overeem dumped him on the mat several times and would have pounded him out easily if not for that pesky referee stepping in.
Overeem’s bulk did appear to slow him down in the final round, however, and a right hand from Bonjasky put him down and sealed his fate on the judges’ scorecards. Sorry, Alistair. Now come back to MMA where you belong.

commentsYou can not like K-1, but try to distinguish between not liking the rules and thinking it's crap because it's not mma.
Overeem won't fight in the UFC or North America because he won't pass the drug tests. He's added 20kg since the last time he fought in K-1. He's a big boy.
Yeah the commentary - they were very pro Remy - they are overcompensating - you see it in the Aerts fight too ... cheering on the old school fighter. Painful watching Aerts. Time to wrap it up my friend.
Manhoef - wow didn't expect that to go down that way. Not sure if it was a straight punch but it caught him coming in and there was no doubt he was done. Maeda ... really. Definitely stepped up.
The same people who thought that Overeem should have won despite the knockdown probably agreed with the judge who scored the first round for Forrest in his fight with Rampage. If you score a knockdown and your opponent doesn't you win the round.
See a point?
The reason is that the UFC and all American MMA organizations test for roids and hgh.. overeem is on something..
and to those who say overeem won.. its not a 10-9 must system, so the first rounds were draws.. it makes sense
And one final question... where has all of that extra size come from on Overeem? He's huge!
Also, Overeem has no chin and therefore wouldn't last a round with Lesnar or even Carwin.
And k-1 scoring is all about clean blows landed and knock-downs, throws and pushes don't count (not to say the refs are good though).
