Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Video: UFC 105 Extended Trailer

(Props: MMAVIDS09 via Bloody Elbow)

After the controversial ending to Machida vs. Rua, the UFC is looking to bounce back hard in their next event (November 14th; Manchester, England), which features three very compelling bouts on the main card. Headlining UFC 105 will be Randy Couture‘s return to the light-heavyweight division against Brandon Vera, who describes the match as "what we’ve been training for since day one." A win for Vera may finally establish his legitimacy at 205; a win for Couture staves off retirement for at least one more fight and puts him on the path to a title shot.

Supporting the main event will be Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang. Bisping is looking to erase the memory of his knockout loss to Dan Henderson in July, while Kang wants to introduce himself to UFC fans in this fight (despite the fact that he’s already fought in the Octagon twice) and feels he can do everything better than the Count. Also, Mike Swick and Dan Hardy meet up in a classic U.S. vs. U.K. battle. Hardy has been training his boxing with Freddie Roach — could it be the advantage he needs to survive Quick’s onslaught?

The full UFC 105 lineup is after the jump…

"Bisping is looking to erase the memory of his knockout loss to Dan Henderson"

Haha come on we all know Bisping has NO memory of that loss

I'm really really really looking forward to the Swick Hardy fight just because Dan Hardy still has alot of potential and despite him being a bit of a hot head most of the time he can back it up! There's only two people I'm looking forward to watching on the card, Pearson & Hardy. Both should provide interesting fights.

Really boring card, good thing I have Strikeforce to look forward to.

I don't know if there's anything the Denis Kang fight can do to help erase Bisping's memory of his last fight that Dan Henderson didn't already do for him

Denis Kang vs. Micheal Bisping not so interesting. Couture vs. Vera is interesting to see if Couture still has it, Swick vs. Hardy will show where Swick is in the Gsp slaughter lineup it also will give Hardy a chance to show that he is top ten.

In the video, they talked about how Bisping lost to Henderson because he's a big name! fair enough! But the UFC seem to be trying to bury the fact that Denis Kang lost to Alan Belcher! it's a shame because it was a great win for a really good fighter! Ah, the MMA world can be fickle when it wants to!

The Wilks vs. Brown fight should be sweet

Bens: you have the Couture v. Vera fight as HW... should be LHW.

@ google,

I read somewhere that Silva/Belfort is tentatively scheduled for UFC 108 on Jan. 2nd...Which means UFC 108 could have Silva/Belfort, Lesnar/Carwin, and Evans/Thiago Silva...I say throw in the Machida/Rua rematch and call it a night.

Maybe Joe Rogan shouldn't criticize MMA fans for being cheap bitches when UFC 106 hits. Strikeforce could easily win the ratings battle simply by airing a 3 hour montage of Fedor and how he shits perfection with every step. ????? ???????!!!!!!!

bisping is in trouble. I'm glad to see Kang make his way to the UFC and he couldnt have gotten a better matchup.

does shannon gugerty still host scare tactics?

This card is better then 106 and its free. UFC needs to go ahead and Book Silva Belfort for a card and GSP vs next victim. That way we have something to look forward to. We have not had a decent card since 100.
