Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Video: UFC 93 Video Blog #7, ‘Ultimate Champion’ Trailer

Fight-day installments of the Danavlog tend to be a lot more interesting than other episodes from the previous week, and the 1/17 video was no exception. It opens with DW chatting with Michael Bisping before they do a demonstration of UFC Undisputed in Dublin. Bisping reminisces about the days when he was unbeatable at Street Fighter II. He’s also pleased with the U.K. team that he’ll be coaching on TUF, and very psyched to be a part of it. During the video game demo, Dana White plays as Quinton Jackson, while the Count plays as himself. The simulated fight goes pretty much how it would if Bisping were to actually fight Rampage.

At the fights, Alistair Overeem stops by to to say hello to the UFC prez; giddy as a schoolgirl, Dana starts squeezing his muscles. Overeem points out that he’s not as big as Brock Lesnar. Dana asks him if he’s ready to fight in the UFC, and Overeem says he is if management can work it out. K-1 super-heavyweight champ Semmy Schilt is also in attendance, and Dana makes it clear that he’d be welcome in the Octagon too. Later, Joe Rogan brutally mocks a Dana White superfan directly behind her back, Mauricio Rua is offered the Chuck Liddell fight, and Dana calls Dublin "pound-for-pound the best fuckin’ place we’ve ever been."

After the jump: The trailer for Ultimate Champion, another underground cage-fighting flick starring master thespian Stephan Bonnar. One day, the Wayans Brothers are going to make a parody of these movies and call it Never Submit, Surrender, or Back Down While Fighting Your Redbelt in the Confessions of a Pit Fighter. Hey, if Paul Blart can be the #1 movie in America

WTF? It seems like Dana White has been playing this damn game every day for like 6 months now... but somehow the game "isn't finished yet". Reminds me of when I would wait endlessly for my brother to hand over the nintendo controller so I could play mario 3 "when he was finished". Come on Dana... fork it over already.
Barry Mckockenner- January 19, 2009 at 1:05 pm
the video is no longer available .. wtf?
MC Obscene- January 19, 2009 at 1:03 pm

Bisping is so rad...i could beat him in SFII, though.
doctor satan- January 19, 2009 at 10:26 am
joe rogan was the best part of that video

Bisping was good at Street Fighter? I bet I could take him with my old school Blanka!

And I must register my profound disagreement with JustBl33d: There is no such thing as too many DANGA DA DANGA DA DANGS!

Oh, and could someone tell me why I feel like a douchebag for not hating Dana White?

Looked like a porn movie without the porn.

I love in the DW vlog where the dude sitting next to him grabs his own balls (@ 5:30) during the nut shot replay. He felt the schwartz.

WOW...i mean seriously man. this reminds me of junior high watching Cynthia Rothrock movies...who directed this steaming pile of waste? Don "the dragon" Wilson?
xocgx says "good for Bonnar"...NO NO NO!
this absolutely NOT good for Stephan Bonnar!
this is fucking horrible...embarassingly so.
notice that the "star" of the "film" had just a handful of lines
in the think that's just a coincidence?
and submission moves in a street...i mean forest fight?
come the fuck on.
the end result...$, and as low budget as this film is there still was plenty of it, has gone to complete waste.

The movie was originally going to star Bas Rutten, but the producer decided to go in a different direction. I think its for the best.

That, and you can only have so many danga-da danga-da dang's in a brawl.

I would pay to see overeem and rutten knee eachother in the balls for 5 rounds.

MMA has lost its way, somewhere.

Looks like an even lower budget "kickboxer" sequel. I guess Sasha Mitchell was unavailable.

i love how serious the music in the trailer is, especially in the end. it really captures the tone of the movie.
And fuck you guys, Paul Blart is the Citizen Kane of movies about overweight mall security guards.

Stephan Bonner School of Acting

Lesson 1: The "Confused" look on the face.

Lesson 2: Use the "Confused" look on the face for every scene of the movie.

..."so endeth the lesson"...

babcock- January 19, 2009 at 7:36 am

Eric Roberts- January 19, 2009 at 7:27 am
They offered me a part in this movie, but I said I'm holding out for Best of the Best 13.
babcock- January 19, 2009 at 7:26 am
Is anyone else super excited to see Stephan Bonners love scene? And Sokodjou is in the movie too? Could be the next jackie chan and owen wilson.
Kyle- January 19, 2009 at 7:03 am
that movie is a theatrical abortion
BuckWild- January 19, 2009 at 6:51 am
That has to be the worst mma movie ever ! I wish they would put one of these guys through a lot of acting classes and actually do one with a big budget and a realistic plot. You know, maybe a story about a guy in a mma tournament or something.
biohazardone- January 19, 2009 at 6:49 am
@ Jay
Hendo won the fight.....won the first couple of rounds but lost the last one. A judge scored the bout 30/27 in favor of Franklin.....wonder why. Hendo did exactly what he needed to do to win the fight. In my opinion, the fight could have easily gone to a draw.
machete for hands- January 19, 2009 at 6:47 am
is that movie for real?? this has got to be a joke right?? i bet that movie is going straight to dvd HA!
ADW- January 19, 2009 at 6:44 am
That movie preview....are they actually serious!?!? That's a joke right. What piece of crap. The only good thing about it is that the bad guy is the Van Damme look alike guy from other low budget martial arts films. That guys is pretty cool. Stephen Bonnar is going to look back on this and be like "Gawd Damn!! What was I thinking?"
xocgx- January 19, 2009 at 6:39 am
HAHAHA, This movie is SO low budget, but good for Stephan.
Rogan's Beard- January 19, 2009 at 6:33 am
Sorry Jay, only one judge got it wrong and it was the one that gave it 30-27 to Franklin, Hendo won the first 2 rounds (all just my opinion of course) and Franklin the 3rd.
