Videos: Alistair Overeem Talks Next Title Defense, Hints at Affliction Fighters Coming to Strikeforce


Alistair Overeem Interview – Watch more Funny Videos

Our friend Ariel Helwani is in San Jose for this weekend’s Strikeforce event and he sidled up to Alistair Overeem to ask him when he might actually defend his Strikeforce heavyweight title.  Overeem says he’ll be back on June 6, but doesn’t know or won’t say against who (and if you press him on it, as Ariel did, he will kind of threaten you).  He also hints at the possibility of some Affliction heavyweights coming on over to Strikeforce soon.  We knew it!

In other Strikeforce news, "Cyborg" Santos made it down to 150, which means the fight could technically still take place, but "Girlfight Monster" is talking like she may not take the fight at all now, even with Santos giving up a big portion of her purse as a penalty.  If there’s one thing MMA’s female division doesn’t need right now, it’s a fiasco like this on a big show.

LOL, I love that comment "Ive trained longer than you". Do you really think Ben chooses his mods because of their computer prowess or their MMA knowledge and relation to the sport? Again, you prove your an idiot. And anytime you'd like to find out what I'm all about and where I train, PM me in the forums, I can arrange for you to come hang with me at my school for an afternoon. putting on 20lbs of muscle is not hard when you are 6'3, already weigh 220 and are a full time professional athlete. I'm not saying Overeem has never roided because there is no proof that he has/hasn't, but those that say that his size is only attributable to roids have obviously never lifted weights. 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, a good diet, and the will to do it are all that is required.

Seriously people. Has anybody ever seen this thing called professional football? They drug test religiously (offseason too) and there are scores of athletes with musclature that would embarrass overeem. I know this is hard for many of you to believe from behind your keyboard with a bag of doritos and a big gulp on one side and a large roni pizza on the other, but it is real ,and not that hard to do.
