From the moment this video declares Fedor-Arlovski to be the most anticipated heavyweight bout in MMA history, for the "undisputed" heavyweight title, you know what you’re getting into.  Still, the look of the video is impressive for a DIY internet effort.  It rips off all the cool things about the HBO 24/7 series, though since they spend the entire time pumping up Arlovski it reaches none of the emotional depth. 

Oh well.  It’s still the best promotional tool we’ve seen yet for this fight that’s just over a month away.  If Affliction’s not embarrassed by that, they should be.

After the jump, Frank Mir gets deep, plus a little something extra that you may hate me for, but it’s for your own good.



A Zen-like Mir tells us (at the 4:07 mark) that "fights truly are won in your soul."

I’ll be at the next UFC PPV and I can’t wait for mir to get his teeth kicked in. He got lucky once but that blind squirrel isn’t about to find a nut for the second time ryshad evans will win his fight and I am a huge forrest “Nutt Hugger” The kid has more heart then almost anyone in mma and he’s so fucking humble its hard not to love him. I also can’t wait for rampage to lose his second fight in a row maybe this time he’ll drive that big retarded truck of his off a bridge and as for Fedor.. everyones favorite fatty who kinda reminds me of the cowboys a hype :D when he does finally lose it’s gonna be amazing and I think that loss is coming very very soon.. and how the fuck is anyone gonna bring up an interview with Sylvia he’s the worst match fedors ever had the guys the biggest gathering of bile on legs seriously? i hate frank mir. but i kinda liked him there. i don’t know. maybe its because he made a joker reference, albeit completely irrelevant, but it still makes him cooler than i thought.

i dont think anyone has ever even tried to teach hong man choi how to punch. it is actually comical to watch that retard swing his meat limbs.

I agree with all the comments that find Franks tone refreshing. He sounds sober and circumspect as should any fighter going up against the challenge of his life. This the kind of maturity that I appreciate in MMA, as opposed to weigh-in confrontations and TUF house antics.

^I also like (generally) Mir’s attitude. However, it always seems there’s a bit or arrrogance in his tone — but in this interview there isn’t.

But something tells me that Frank really, really, makes preparations for his interviews.

I like Mir’s attittude.. i get tired of all these fighters who talk prophetic nonsense about how badly they are going to beat their opponents. You have to beat a fighter with your skills, not with the “Secret”. Posititve thinking is great but taking it to the degree of disallusion is dangerous and just a sign of insecurity.

And that’s what you Fedor fags will do – make excuses for him, too. Fedor’s a great fighter. He’s not unbeatable and when he loses, you’ll have a “reason” for it. But I’m sure it’ll have nothing to do with the other guy just flat out beating him or he got caught with a punch. “Fedor was having personal problems”. Maybe Tim Sylvia was having personal problems. In fact, I’ll bet everyone who’s ever lost to anyone but Fedor was having personal problems.

Come back in a couple years when you’re 18 and then try again, G squad.

When Nog kills Mir and gets hammered by Lesnar until he pulls a sub and becomes the “Undisputed HW Champ” what is that going to say when nog lost three times to Fedor? You know what its going to mean? that the best HW UFC has is second best…. shit eater!

Dude. Nobody hypes fedor. He’s just that insanely good. You obviously don’t know much about MMA. Tim Sylvia did an interview after the fight saying he had never been hit that hard in his life. And jesus all the upsets you’re naming have reason behind them- serra vs. gsp- gsp was having personal problems and wasn’t in the right mindset. rashad vs. lidell- well i don’t know about you but chuck really isn’t all that good. Counter punching and not protecting yourself wasn’t going to last much longer. And Kimbo….. How is that an upset???? He was a completely overly hyped fighter who had no skill set thrown into the spotlight by the slimiest mma organization. Just stop talking please.

True … they both move relatively well for their size … i mean most people with giganticism like Hong are literally crippled by their size and most people that weigh as much as Sapp won’t last 30 seconds and have no chance of throwing kicks like he does …. If you saw someone like that in a bar you’d think man he’d kill anyone in here and then you see them throwing these feminine punches … So regardless, it is still pretty hilarious to see them fighting each other.

If I’m not mistaken, Tim Silvia’s last fight in the UFC was for the HW Championship to which he PHUCKED Big Nog up for three rounds until he got caught in a submission.

Fedor dismantled and DEMOLISHED him in 36 sec. No one has ever done that to Tim Tim in all his years in the UFC as the most dominating HW champ they ever had.

Noguera lost to him three times… Who in the UFC can beat him shitwhich? Frank Mir!?!?!?
