Videos: “Bully Beatdown” Trailer, Mask’s Final Interview

What better way to introduce MMA to the tweenage MTV generation than by having Jason Miller‘s crazy ass host a show where bullies get their asses kicked by professional fighters? Premiering Sunday, March 22nd, at 9:30 p.m., MTV’s Bully Beatdown is being produced by Mark Burnett Productions (Survivor, The Apprentice, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?). Basically, pencil-necked geeks come crying to Miller about the people who have been picking on them, and Mayhem gives the bullies a chance to "pick on someone their own size." If the bullies win, they get to pocket $10,000, though it’s very unlikely that any of them will actually be able to collect. If they lose, their victims get the ten grand — which will most likely be bullied away from them as soon as the Bully Beatdown crew leaves town.

Below: One day before he was killed in a car accident, TapouT’s Charles "Mask" Lewis did an interview and photo shoot for DUB Magazine. The footage is below. Above everything else, let’s remember Lewis for the endless passion he had for the sport of mixed martial arts.

WTF is up with all this bully bullshit? Here's an idea, let's teach kids how to stand up for themselves. Bullies or not, people are who they are and it will never change. If these little crybabies got over their fear of being hit and maybe throw a knee to the balls, a headbutt to the face, gouge an eye or bite a chunk off somebody, I can pretty much guarantee the bullying would stop. So what if it's cheap, they're bigger and stronger than you so they get what they get for picking on the wrong one. I was always pretty much the shortest, fattest, slowest (physically) kid (also the only Mexican) but I NEVER got picked on more than once. Tough kids will fight tough kids but almost nobody wants to fight the crazy kid.

"Above everything else, let's remember Lewis for the endless passion he had for the sport of mixed martial arts."

I hope someone just pisses Mayhem off to the point where he's just like "Fuck it, this ones mine."

The best part of the Bully video is the last 40 seconds.

Bad for the sport x1000000000000. I'm still going to be watching the shit out of it though.

Wow that show is really going to hurt the MMA community. It looks like to me that they protray MMa fighters to be muscle-head mercenaries.

Bully heel hook sounds awesome. Those fucking cane.

Couldn't we just get together and help these bullies to become more secure with themselves rather than just bringing in the heavies to just kick their asses.

That being said, that would suck as a reality show. Or we could have "Bully hitman," where they just find anyone who's ever given someone a dead arm and shoot them and leave them in a dumpster.

When I first read the title I was hoping to see a video of Gray Maynard getting his ass kicked or something, but first appearances can be deceiving.
Bully Beatdown? Seriously? OK, I have to admit that I actually want to see some of this, but I still think that these guys are just going to wait until the next day to kick the shit out of the kids that set them up.
I think they should do a little show makeover and produce something more along the lines of "Bully Heel Hook" or "Bully crucifix" . That way these "bullies" won't be able to catch the kid and kill them as soon as the show is over with.

Kimbo is Crap- March 12, 2009 at 9:18 am
as much as everyone hates the tapout guys for being big toolbags, no one can knock their husltle. as the bens said, they really helped the sport of mma and to lose someone thats done nothing but fight the good fight for mma is always a sad occasion. at least he went out like a boss, in a 300k sports car and a broad in the passenger seat..

and that bullied show actually looks pretty funny hahha im glad im not a d bag like those bullies and im glad i live in such a small state no show would ever bother to come here. haha

R.I.P. Mask

BULLY Beat down looks awesome....I bet half the guys still look at Jason Miller and think he's a nobody TV reality show host.

Old, Bald and Irish- March 12, 2009 at 8:38 am
Ditto to KCIAC. I thought (and still think) that the TapouT guys costumes and stuff are pretty silly. But it has been obvious that they guys truly support the sport AND it's fighters and they weren't just looking to cash I on the popularity.

And who am I to argue with their success? if I thought I could make a fortune dressing in wacky clothes and makeup, you can bet your butt I'd be doing it. It's an unusal way to run a business, but it's worked for them and you can't argue with success.

On the "Bully Beatdown" trailer, I was REALLY hoping it would be Miller that did the fights. That would have been more interesting.

I really hope the clip of the dude talking smack to Mayhem about
"I'll back it up right now" ends with mayhem cracking him. Cause we all know Mayhem's pretty crazy, and with MTV bankrolling his lawyers, I can see him lighting a guy up.

Cause you know that guy had no idea who he was talking to. Probably thought Mayhem was Ryan Seacrest or something. Anyway, show looks funny.

RIP Mask. You the man. Always will be.

I was never a Tapout fan but Mask kept it real, man.

You will be missed.
Perdew- March 12, 2009 at 7:46 am
that is a great idea for a show. i can't to see these machismo motherfuckers get their asses subbed. they gotta learn size ain't no match for technique. i don't even want to see any KO's. i just want to see every one of them get arm barred or gogoplata'd

Mask was LEGIT. I love the way he speaks about MMA. You can really tell how passionate he was about MMA. I usually hate to say something is inspiring, cuz hey when the last time something i said was inspiring make me get off the couch and change my life?, but his passion really could be inspiring. at least i want it to be.

Mask, you were LEGIT and YOU WILL BE MISSED.
