oh and by the way ive never trained mma, wrestled, or trained in any other way to fight and i think if i got kimbo on the ground that i could beat him. i know more moves and submissions just from watching mma then i think hes ever heard of. that was completely ridiculous.

When I first saw it I thought it was a thumbs up, but then they cut to a ridiculous angle where you couldn't see a thing then Kimbo magically got out of the choke, so I put some things together and thought he tapped.

I think that the primetime WEC show put MMA back 20 years!!!!!!!! I wasn't sure if i was watching MMA or WWF by the intros. I think that both of the last fights where stopped early mainly because this was on network T.V. This whole WEC reminds me of the XFL football league. People that can't make it in the UFC or Pride have to have their own place to fight.....SAD The best fight of the night was by 2 ex-ufc guys.

In no way am I on the Kimbo bandwagon, but he didn't tap ^^ right there. It was a thumbs-up saying he was OK, heh. If he would of tapped there, he would of probably went out because the choke, or whatever he was in, wasn't broke off right then.

And look, it's a thumbs up. At least, that's what I interpret it as, not a tap.

Kimbo is to MMA today as Tank Abbott was to MMA then. He's good at taking out the trash but could never, and will never, be able to compete against well trained, highly disciplined top heavyweights. For God sakes, Butterbean demolished Thompson, and in most people's view, Thompson should have beat Kimbo by ref stoppage. I'm happy that it wasn't stopped and that we got to see more haymakers. But, it lets you know that this is a business and Kimbo was clearly the big draw so the rules got modified somewhat.

you guys missed the best parts of the Thompson interview. Before and after.
Gary Shaw announces to the media and everyone else that Thompson has been hospitalized, is having breathing trouble and asks that he be kept in prayer.

Thompson, who was walking into the press room and heading towards his seat, has a look of WTF? when he hears this. Great stuff. Then to not look like a complete tool, Shaw says, "Feeling better? Well we know he needs to get out of here to the hospital so we'll get him up here first." By this time Thompson is sitting in his seat shaking his head.

After was even better.

In the video we see Thompson ask Shaw for his win pay, Shaw obliges and they hug. Afterwards as Thompson is leaving a reporter confirms with Shaw the win payout.

"So, Gary, are you going to give James his winning payout?" Thompson turns to hear his reaction.
"Not if he wants to be with this organization in the morning!" submits Shaw.

Classic.

He does deserve a win bonus, not only was he winning the fight if it went to a decision. Kimbo also tapped, which was immediately followed by a shot 2 miles away from the ring. The 1,500 unanswered elbows also should have been stopped. Technically he should be payed 3 win bonuses and Kimbo should go back to fuckin up Adryan and other scrubs from da 305.
