Videos: Genghis Con’s ‘Title Quest Vol. 3,’ Countdown to UFC 100 Preview

Genghis Con injects some soul into the upcoming welterweight title fight at UFC 100 with this highlight of Georges St. Pierre and Thiago Alves‘s recent history. It’s a good reminder of how utterly dominant both men have been in the Octagon over the last two years. On Saturday night, the unstoppable force will meet the other unstoppable force. Time to do the man dance.

You don’t have to do diego sanchez chi centering moves or lyoto machida’s choreographed karate forms to be a martial artist. I think Mir is way more of a martial artist than you’ll find in your local karate or tkd dojos. To me, being a martial artist is about being capable of EFFECTIVELY engaging in hand to hand combat, not how spiritual and mysterious you appear or how polite you are.

Oh, and nice one burrito.

Bisping is blowing smoke. “First person to KO Hendo”… yeah right. He has no intention of engaging with Hendo. He’ll fight Hendo the same way he fought Leben. Stab and backpedal. Bisping won’t hurt Dan at any point in the fight, but he’ll still win the decision.

Glad to see you’re someone who can laugh at themselves.

It was a sweet video though, top notch as always, and I really like the choice of music. They should play that right before the entrances in the live event.

(Anyone know if that should have been “themselves” or “them self” in my first sentence, as the spellchecker suggests? The only rationale I could come up with is that maybe you could justify “themselves”, for the reason that “someone” in the sentence could be interchangeable with “one of the people”. (*Edit: I’m dumb) …Maybe I just should have said “yourself” instead (*Edit: Not a bad idea, retard)…)

After watching a few of these videos Im getting a bit tired of watching Frank Mir talk about himself as a martial artist. Frank Mir only embodies the fight aspect of being a “martial artist”, If you look at some of the best fighters in the world, Fedor, Sivla, Machida, GSP, these are people that embody the martial artist mentality. Mir kind of comes off as prick, and in most of his interviews if you pay close attention he uses large words out of context just so he can seem intelligent. He talks a lot of shit about Lesnar (Lesnar just talks to much shit in general) for not having a good enough record to be the champion. Apparently he is trying really hard to convince himself that a guy with 1 pro fight at the time, wasnt beating the shit out of him for all but 10 seconds the first go round. More than any other time in UFC history Im praying for a double KO saturday.
