Genghis Con injects some soul into the upcoming welterweight title fight at UFC 100 with this highlight of Georges St. Pierre and Thiago Alves‘s recent history. It’s a good reminder of how utterly dominant both men have been in the Octagon over the last two years. On Saturday night, the unstoppable force will meet the other unstoppable force. You don’t have to do diego sanchez chi centering moves or lyoto machida’s choreographed karate forms to be a martial artist. I think Mir is way more of a martial artist than you’ll find in your local karate or tkd dojos. To me, being a martial artist is about being capable of EFFECTIVELY engaging in hand to hand combat, not how spiritual and mysterious you appear or how polite you are.
