That said, awesome work by Shields, Diaz and Grimjitsu. I was wholly impressed. Great fights.

Awful, awful commentary on all the videos. Maybe Goldberg and Rogan have spoiled it for everyone but I can't help but find the commentary - especially in the Lawler/Shields video - hackish and sounding like it was done by lobotomised amateurs.

Please find intelligent and knowledgeable announcers, Strikeforce. I hate having to watch fights on mute.

Why the hell didn't you guys live-blog WEC?

Yea agreed about the incompetent faggot nut hugging commentators. That sums them up quite nicely.

Am I the only one to tell the commentators to fuck off at the end of that one. They were on Robbies balls like black is on Uncle Ben.

Good thing your comments aren't being graded for spelling, but anyways you contradicted yourself saying Baroni is a can then saying Riggs looked razor sharp.

I mean you're right Baroni is shot and was never really that good anyway so why the fuck wouldn't Riggs (who does have skills) look razor sharp and better than in the past?

I was glad to see Baroni get his ass whooped like i knew he would. Only shocking thing was his cardio and the fact that he actually didn't get KO'ed for once. He must of stopped taking his roids well before his fight. Thats actually a feat for total tomato can like Baroni.

Riggs looked razor sharp in this fight. Sick sick jiu jitz, grappling and great muy thai. He was super classy in the end to, he looked remarkably better than he has in the past.

The commentary was so damn annoying. One stuffed take down and they are saying Shields is in trouble? Really?
How can you say Shields doesn't know how to get him when he hasn't fucking lost since 2004.

+1 for jiu jitsu.

Too bad for Lawler though, I guess tonight he'll cry himself to sleep...on his HUGE PILLOW!

danomite, great quote from "So I married an Axe Murderer", lol one of the greatest Scottish movie characters of all time! reminds me of my grandad!

"You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground."

there they are!

How hard were these guys on Lawler's nuts? I didn't hear one positive thing said about shields until after he won. Wait, I just watched it again to make sure. Gus said "nice body kick" once. I also enjoyed Gus and Frank's Pepsi Throwback commentary:
Gus - "What's the weakness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu guys when they're taking on strikers like this?"
Frank - " They don't understand how to get hit and how to deal with it."
It made me wish Goldie was there too, just so he could say "Wrestler's don't like being on their backs, Mauro."
Too bad for Lawler though, I guess tonight he'll cry himself to sleep...on his HUGE PILLOW!

Lawler looked so good in there, and then one silly mistake sees him getting choked out. Just as the commentators were talking shit about Shields.
