MMA Video Tribute: 9 ‘Falling Tree’ Knockouts

Videos: A Jiu-Jitsu Lesson From Toby Imada, Matt Serra Video Blog #2, + More

(Props: SinisterGi.com)

Remember when Toby Imada pulled off that awesome inverted triangle choke in the Bellator tournament last year?  Of course you do.  Your brain isn’t so clogged with Snickers bars and "Golden Girls" reruns that you could go and forget a thing like that.  It was by far the best submission of the year.  Now that we’ve moved on to a new year and Imada no longer has to worry about all you jokers biting his style, he’s going to go ahead and show you how it’s done.  Forget about Blanche and Sophia and the gang for just a few minutes and pay attention.

After the jump, check out round two of Matt Serra‘s video blog, and listen as Don Frye shares a very special memory from the Pride days, just for the hell of it.

Careful Toby or not careful, she looked like she was having a good time. I wanna train go train jiu jitsu with some good looking chicks, great way to break the ice....."scratch scrath, ah yeah" I think a documentary should be done on Don Frye, there's something about the way he talks that captivates me.

Some snotty nosed, ungrateful kid gets to visit his kick ass Uncle Don every summer and begrudgingly listen to all his old fight stories.

@Goat LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. He just comes off as that really cool Uncle with all kinds for crazy stories to tell at the holidays and family reunions. I would love to go drinking with that guy

I must admit, Don Frye seems like a great guy, but mannn, Wanderlei Silva is my favorite fighter by far. Ever since I began watching pride. Everytime I hear other fighters talk about him its about how nice of a guy he is. Ive never been to a UFC card yet, but I know my first one will be one of Silva's. Gotta meet that motherfucker.

Im 19 and live in Canada by the way. So im hoping he's gonna be at a Canadian card at some point in time. Just so I can get trashed at which ever city it is at. Since the drinking age is 21 in most of the US I dont know if im willing to go down soufff. I know I dont have the resources to travel down to aussieland for his next fight, thats for sure. Me and my buds arent exactly the wealthiest of the bunch haha.

Gotta love Don Frye. That was amazing. With the music, it kinda made me think it was like a tribute video that you would see at his funeral. When he said they would just get it done in the parking lot, was he talking about throwing down or just meeting him? I totally pictured him and Silva just throwing down right there to see who was the baddest mofo in that parking lot.

Throwing down - He meant fight eachother... Most people dont consider meeting someone and shaking their hand as a "throw down"

Matt Serra makes me LOL - he reminds me of Joe Pesci, specifically his character, Nicky in Casino. I can imagine him stabbing some bigger dude in the face with a pen over something quite petty.

I'm a big Matt Serra fan. He's got a great personality and i'm a fan because of some hometown pride. But i think it was a bad idea showing how he hangs out at "the man cave" after he just bashed twinkle toes for saying some gay shit. Uh, hello? You're in a war of words and you just gave the enemy a freaking atom bomb to use on you. Where's your head?!

I first saw Serra when he was a coach on TUF, I didn't know anything about him or Hughes and I thought Serra was just a loudmouthed jerk. Come to find out I had them both wrong. Serra is awesome and Hughes, as we all know, is a cunt. We should have a national holiday in honor of Don Frye. The guy is classic!

Is it just me or does Toby look like he's getting ready to employ the rarely utilised "forced-blowie-plata"?
