Videos: New Genghis Con Awesomeness, GSP in Street Fighter II, + More

Everyone’s favorite MMA video mastermind, Genghis Con, has done it again.  This time he delves into the redemption plot, as we see the highs and the lows and then the highs again of being a pro fighter.  Like with any Genghis Con joint, there’s also tons of great music, slick editing, and rare footage.  Enjoy.

Remember the guy who took us on a pleasant walk down memory lane with his GSP/Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! video?  Well he’s followed up with a Street Fighter II-type look at GSP’s win over Mayhem Miller.  Seems like a natural progression.  We now wait patiently for the Tekken 2 version of his most recent beatdown of B.J. Penn.  

And just in case you’re waiting for some mention of greasing, because you can’t go fifteen goddamn minutes without hearing about it, we got you covered after the jump.



The internet.  Is there anything it can’t do?  Thanks to our pal OB&I for pointing this one out on the Gracie Fighter forums.  While this bears no real resemblance to how the fight went, it’s still hilarious.  And we respect that.

That says it right there…. when I was a kid we had arcades all over the place.
Each had very good to great video games… I would spend hours playing.
Now they have all gone the way of the dodo…
Even down the Jersey shore on the boardwalk video games are dying out.
Everything now is a Claw Trap game (stuffed animals) or that dancing game.
This is the only downside to people having home systems… its part of my childhood that I will always remember and long for. RIP is right.

Yeah what was up with that street fight, looks like Badr (if that was him) was lucky there were people around to break it up. That guy took the sucker punch like a champ then put Badr on his back quick.

WOW!!! Awesome footage and compilation in Ghengis Con’s video!!! I wish I could buy a DVD from him, with all his vid’s in high quality!!

- LOL at Tank Abbott attempting an uchi mata on Vitor at 3:14!! Bwahaha, can you imagine Tank practicing Judo?

- Speaking of street fighting, what’s with the fight that broke out during a conference in the Ghengis con video? Was that Badr punching some douchebag looking white dude at 11:34? What the hell was that all about?

- Is it just me, or does Allister Overeem have a very strange almost upward, down looping KO punch. All his KO footage confuse the crap outta me… I can’t understand his punching motion.

- Kazuo Misaki is an awesome fighter. I want to see him in the UFC.

Emulators do it for me, but I can see how actually having the original system, games, and controllers can make a big difference. Nothing brings back memories like the feel of one of those old controllers I’ll definitley agree to that.
