Saturday’s episode of Strikeforce on NBC presented a countdown of the league’s all-time greatest knockouts, including KOs from Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Kazuo Misaki, Duane Ludwig, and Paul Buentello; part 1 is above, parts 2 and 3 are after the jump. Watch as Joe Riggs finds himself on the happy and unhappy ends of two featured bouts, Buentello gobbles up the #2 and #3 spots, and color-man Ken Shamrock uses the "sack of potatoes" knockout metaphor twice.

Ken Shamrock is priceless as an announcer,and Cesar Gracie’s corner must have anticipated him getting his ass kicked because they threw in the towel as fast as they could,also LDUB you’re right about the UFC gladiator intro for sure.
Is it just me or is the strikeforce intro waaay better than the shitty ufc gladiator thing?

The Misaki “knockout” shouldn’t have been on the list but the rest were good especially watching Cesar Gracie’s corner throw in the towel as fast as they possibly could, it was as if they had it ready the moment the bell rang.What the Fuck is Buentello doing in his post fight celebration standing there frozen in position staring. He couldn’t be a bigger idiot,and how can anyone not love Ken Shamrock’s commentary.
That was just awful, I don’t know if those were the best KO’s from strikeforce or not. It just seems there trying to hilight there biggest stars who in themselves are just a bunch of mediocre UFC castoffs. Besides Cung Le not because he’s not mediocre just because he’s never fought in the UFC.
That first Cung Le knockout was straight out of a jackie chan movie.
That Riggs/Misaki was a pretty poor stoppage. Riggs got him back to gaurd and was defending himself. Pretty lame for a “best knockout” reel. Other than that it was a decent set of highlights.
