^ Of course, I'm rooting for Danzig. I saw what he did to Tommy Speer. I just wanted to poke some fun at him. I know it's gay, but I'm a sucker for fighter personalities. When they did the TUF Finale interviews I thought Danzig's interview would have been super tight w/ him living in Hollywood & all that, and Tommy living on a farm didn't sound too promising to me. However, it was the complete opposite. I guess lackluster would be the word I would use to describe Danzig's interview. But I know, in the end it didn't matter one bit because the Mac Attack may as well have painted a penis on Tommy Speer's left butt cheek because he fucking owned The Farmboy!

Nate Diaz is not going to get submitted by Josh Neer period. The Diaz brothers eat, sleep and shit BJJ. The only way I can see Neer winning is by KO or TKO. I give it Diaz by Submission the 2nd.

I give Mac Danzig the nod on the next fight. Guida is a good fighter but Mac Danzig is world class. Mac has too much experience to crack under pressure. Mac was KOTC Champ for quite a while and has fought in pride also(Even tho he got KTFO'd by Hayato Sakurai.) Mac is relatively unknown in the UFC but is pretty well known in the rest of the world.

And finally Houston Alexander sucks ass. He may be popular with the fans, but gimme a break.

I know Mac can speak a little slow and sound somewhat like Ben Stiller's other character from Tropic Thunder (I don't remember his name, Joe something?) but he is very combat intelligent. I used to catch the end of his classes and training sessions when he was at Legends, and the dude is very self aware. I'm sure he will jump up the ladder quickly after this fight.

I know alotta people arent happy with this card cause its headlined by younger ufc fighters, but Im actually kinda excited about this card, looking at this card this is how I would like it to be:
Main Card
Nate Diaz vs. Josh Neer Im picking Nate by submission
Clay Guida vs. Mac Danzig Im picking Clay by KO :)
Ed Herman vs. Alan Belcher IM picking Belcher by decision
Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer I am picking Houston by atomic KO punch

Undercard
Alessio Sakara vs. Joe Vedepo gotta go Sakara here.
Wilson Gouveia vs. Ryan Jensen wow, Im gonna have to take Jensen
Joe Lauzon vs. Kyle Bradley I have Joe L winning by decision
Jason Brilz vs. Brad Morris toss up, ugh.
Drew McFedries vs. Mike Massenzio I hate to go for Drew cause I dont like him, but hes my pick
Dan Miller vs. Rob Kimmons gotta take Dan in this one.

Id love to see 5 mains and 5 undercards, I hate that its only 4 televised , I woulda loved to see the Joe Lauzon vs. Kyle Bradley fight on the maincard instead of the undercard, but I guess because he lost they dont see the value in him no more, but thats shame cause he lost to one of the best in kenny.

The cheapest tickets I could find were $45 after taxes and fees, in the last row of the uppermost balcony. I would love to go see it live, but for $45 a person, I think we're going to just watch it at a bar and spend some of that on drinks, food, etc. Are UFC events always so expensive?

its good that guida was able to spot some holes from previous mac danzig fights... mac however will be spotting the holes on match day, in real time... that'll be the difference in this fight.

i really hope diaz pulls through on this one... but like all great fighters on a run, he's heading towards a tough beat. hopefully it wont be this one.

same goes for lauzon, it'd be great to see him back on the W side of things.

all the other matches are just good old fashioned fun, its gonna be a good night I predict.

Is it just me or does Neer sound slow in some way? :D

Diaz vs. Neer : Diaz
Guida vs. Danzig: Danzig
Herman vs. Belcher: Herman
Alexander vs. Schafer: 50/50, past 30-45 sec and Schafer will win.

Nate Diaz is an Artist on the ground. and I stress the word Artist.

I like diaz and I don't know neer so I call it diaz. I like guida but I like Mac more so I call that a Mac w. I don't like red but I like houston less so its Eric for the w. Hope Joe L gets a w too. Wonder how many other people vote/bet like that?

I can't wait for the Guida Danzig fight, get to see it in person and it should be a stand up war.

The exciting thing about watching Alexander fight is that you know you are going to see a knock out. Now if he is going to be the catcher or pitcher of that punch is the question :D

great, great card..

Neer is a HUGE test for Diaz..
i was on a betting site the other day [not bets for real money, for shits and giggles], and what they do is give you a bonus if you bet on an underdog and he wins.. and i was SHOCKED to see that Neer's an underdog.. the rules for an underdog on that site state that less than 20% of the site-viewers picked him to win..
i don't know if not many people have seen Neer fight before, or if they just really think Nate's amazing.. [which, he is]
but Neer is no pushover for Nate..
there's not going to be some 1st round triangle in this one like there was in all of Nate's other fights..
Neer's not going to tap to an armbar or kneebar [see: neer/stevenson]
Nates going to have to catch him in something that can put him to sleep..
Neer's a very strong/stocky LW..
he throws people around..
neer's going to give nate problems in the clinch, in the standup, and in the wrestling..
i have faith in nate, but, for some reason, i just CAN'T pick him to win this fight.. i hope he does..

unless Alexander's gotten dramatically technical with his striking in the last few months, he's going to get submitted in round 1..
Eric Schafer's a freakin' beast on the ground, especially for a 205'er..
as long as he can dodge 10 or so blows in the beginning, he should be able to get it to the ground and submit Houston easily..
there's still that chance of Houston knocking him the f out though..

i had danzig picked to win all the way up until about a day ago..
then i decided, as good as danzig's submissions are, it's not easy to submit guida..
i originally had danzig by choke in the 3rd, now i have guida via UD..
guida's gonna be on mac like white on rice.. and mac's gonna fold, maybe not in the 1st, but as the fight goes on, mac will get more and more frustrated, and eventually crack..

geeze.. it looks like i just wrote a novel..
