Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Vitor Belfort Surrounds Himself With Lions, And Lions Have the Courage to Go to the Jungle [VIDEO]

Even if Jon Jones wasn’t doing everything in his power to make us dislike him, there’d still be part of us silently hoping that Vitor Belfort shocks the world at UFC 152 and knocks Jones the hell out. Belfort’s story is just so perfect: A former prodigy now nearing the end of a rocky career, who has fought on through countless professional and personal setbacks, is now given an unexpected chance at glory in a fight he’s not supposed to win, against a young “phenom” representing a generation of fighters that is leaving the older star behind. And everybody is counting Belfort out — except the challenger himself.

Everyone is beatable. You just gotta find the point when and how,” Belfort says. “I’m in a point that I’m ending my career. I made a commitment that I’m gonna finish as strong as I startedI’m testing [Jones's] chin, his liver, everything. We’re there to test each other, we’re there giving our full body to that competitionI believe in one thing: No sacrifice, no glory.”

Do you believe in miracles? And what happens if the light-heavyweight belt changes hands on September 22nd, and winds up in the possession of a middleweight nearing the end of the road? (Besides the obvious.) Personally, I think the UFC needs some chaos from time to time. The problem with “invincible” champs like Jones, Anderson Silva, and Georges St. Pierre, is that the outcomes of their fights are rarely in question. So…would a shocking upset victory for Belfort actually be a good thing for the UFC?

Vitor has a better chance than Matt Serra did vs GSP imo

All Jones has to do is stick out a knee and elbow, n just let Vitor run into one or the other. *Smack* KO, n Jones gets his first 1st rd finish, and Vitor gets to see Jesus! Everyone wins :)

due to size differential when vitor charges in throwing bombs he will miss jones' chin and instead punch his dick clean off right there in front of everyone. despite much celebration and thanks to jesus bro by belfort, the fight will be ruled a no contest and jones will remain the (now literally) dickless light heavyweight champion of the world.

write that shit down.

Vitors chance is as good as anyone's. And I like his chances, I know Jones will wrestlefuck him, but if vitor lands 3 straight punches I could see a wobbly jones in trouble.

I still hold firm that Vitor has a chance if he starts off very aggressive and tries to end it within the first few minutes. If it goes any longer than that, then he has lost. Jones will pick him apart from a distance. But Jones also has a questionable chin, so if Vitor can tag him early and pull out some vintage Belfort, then that is the only way I see him winning.

I'm not, I'm just comparing the strategy of coming out strong. Chael got in his face and pressured him. He didn't let him get comfortable and find his range, exactly what Vitor should of done as well, but he didn' why would he do it to Jones who has the bigger reach and speed advantage?
He's just going to stand there like a zombie waiting for a chance to counter and end up out cold. Nothing in Vitor's recent fights tell's us otherwise.

Just because he didn't come out strong shot out of a cannon against Silva doesn't necessarily mean he won't against Jones. It doesn't mean he will though either. All we were stating is that he NEEDS to not he WILL. Ya dig?

Agreed. Anybody has a chance. If Matt Serra can beat GSP then Vitor Belfort can certainly beat Jon Jones. Is it likely? No. Possible? Of course. You are 100% correct on 1 thing, Belfort has to go into this fight with the mindset to end the fight in the first 5 minutes. That's the only chance in my opinion. Otherwise, he is going to get picked apart by a much longer reach and a Greg Jackson track and field game plan.

What, like what he should of done with Silva? The most obvious tactic that he should of used but he just stood infront of him and waited to get knocked out?

OHHHhhhhh I'm sure he will use that tactic now because it wasn't obvious enough when Chael did it 5 rounds in a row against Silva with great success like 6 months before his fight with Silva.

Comparing Vitor to Chael is like comparing apples to gorillas.

Just having a frickin' fight will be a good thing for the UFC. Can we concentrate on that first?
RearNakedSpoon- September 12, 2012 at 7:53 am
If they let Vitor bring a gun into the octagon and declare bullets to count as fists then he might have a punchers chance.
