(Think of it this way, New York legislators: Every time you stall on the vote, you’re robbing Mandy Moore of her joy.)
MMA Mania passes along a bit of bad news regarding the fight to lift the ban on MMA in New York State:
If there’s a bright side to this unfortunate setback, it’s that it gives the MMA community more time to spread awareness of this issue to the uninformed. Please do your part by signing our "Lift the Ban on MMA in New York" petition (if you haven’t already), and sending the link to every MMA fan and New Yorker that you know. I’m sure we can get this thing to over 10,000 signatures before it’s time to present it to New York’s Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Sports Development. Thanks so much, everybody…

commentsI said it makes men sports look bad when they have these pop celeberities in the audience who represent a different message. It sends the wrong message for the sport ! I'd rather see mandy in a beach volleyball game than in mma.
Does being around girls bother you, or are they getting in they way of all the cock you're trying to suck? Its obvious that you don't like girls, so that only leads us to one conclusion.
MMA should not allow chicks in the audience, not to offend others but come'on u need to ban chicks form the audience, it's embrassing that in a guyz sport u see a chick.
I hope fights get more brutal so that chicks can't stand it, and they should be banned from the audience !
Besides, she has a weird elbow.
On top of that, do that group letter thing - or get the best writer to listen to some nice, sensible people, and formulate the letter. Then send the letter to a newspaper or publish it on a "respectable" website, sign it with a few credible names, to give it some weight.
It's done all the time - at least here in Sweden. People write down their opinions and send them to national newspapers that publish them, either on pages earmarked for these kinds of letters and articles, or connected to an article concerning the subject.
It'd at least be another effort, another way and more voices trying in to be heard in a serious way. Not to degrade blogs or individuals, but writing blogpost after blogpost saying "counselmen are stupid and can't argument on why MMA is a bloodsport" won't work all the way. A petition is a great way, and so is the kinds of letters or articles that I'm trying to push here.
Oh, by the way, I know my english isn't the best - but hey, I live in a cold, dark snowfilled hole called Sweden. I hope you at least got this far without screaming "WTF IS HE TALKIN' 'BOUT!?"
She sure has the "fisting" motion down.
