As an Aussie, I have minimal knowledge of baseball, I do enjoy watching it though. I do however recall reading an article in one of our sports mags about the Yankees and Yankees fans, the following quote has been in my brain for quite a while

Baseball? seriously…baseball? who gives a fuck about that shit ass boring sport. I don’t care where it’s played, or what team plays, it sucks.
If someone was trying to knock them the fuck while they tried to play baseball that would be a great sport.

Wow. Did anybody notice how James Toney has trouble breathing when he’s talking???? Not good right before a MMA Fight……Also, Randy is considerably bigger than James, which basically means Randy’s gonna throw him around the cage like a ragdoll………Randy by submission 1st RD.

Every team had players using steroids, it was the steroid era. I do not take a shot at any team because the entire era from 90′s until now and going forward is messed up.

Difference between the fans: Yankees fans are widely regarded as the most arrogant and obnoxious in sports. Sox fans only booed players who went back on their word (Damon) or forced their way out of town (Ramirez)

Difference between the owners: No instead the Yankees beloved owner was banned from baseball operations of the Yankees for the Dave Winfield incident and also pleaded guilty to illegal campaign contributions. I would say that I worse then some twitter garbage.

In the end, I wanna fucking see Pedro/Zimmer II also. Who doesn’t?

Red Sox and Yankees have around the same number of players implicated or linked to roids via the Mitchell Report, MLB suspensions, etc. Most guys weren’t even on either team when they did it, as per the timeline.

Difference between the fans: Yankees fans don’t boo the shit out of a former player who produced numbers and/or a championship when they come back to their old field…or even a player who wouldn’t sign the “big” deal with the Red Sox.

Difference between the owners: Yankees owners don’t instigate a war of words with players via Twitter.

Similarities? Yeah, one. I wanna fucking see Pedro/Zimmer II already.

Hilarious how even in an MMA site I see the Yankee haters are out and about. It’s amazing how a team can suck with 27 world championships to their name… yup, that’s the eptiome of suckdom. Being the best at what you do = sucking. But waiting 86 years to ‘win’ ONE title (even now it’s a bit tainted) = playing great baseball. Perfect logic! No, no… as a Bostonian would say, wicked lahjick! Have fun in 3rd place this year, Roid Sox Nation.

P.S. Big Papi & Manny strapped on syringes instead of dildos and poked each other in the butt during those “championship” years.

It sucks that pond has no good bars in the vicinity. There is that JT Schmid’s place across the street that every asshole wearing an Affliction shirt packs in before the fight, but no place that looks as fancy as that Boston bar, with its onion phallus.

But if Ben and Fauxhawk make it out to the West Coast, I’d be happy to meet up at a bar with some CP regulars, as gay as that sounds.
