At 2 p.m. ET today, the UFC will hold a press conference at New York’s Madison Square Garden to formally announce their intent to bring MMA to the Big Apple as soon as possible. In attendance will be UFC president Dana White, Zuffa co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta, lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, light-heavyweight contender Rashad Evans, and Madison Square Garden Sports president Scott O’Neill.
A new economic impact study is scheduled to be released in the hopes that New York will join the 44 other U.S. states that currently regulate the sport — even though cash doesn’t seem to be a big motivator among MMA’s stubborn critics.
Despite our long history of promoting the "MMA in NY" Arianny Celeste Playboy leak fiasco. Their loss. When the first media question is from some spaz asking if he can sit in Dana’s lap, they’re gonna wish they had some real freakin’ journalists in the building…

By "leaking photos" of Arianny in Playboy, how exactly does this harm the UFC?
It's sad that CP has more class, by still providing the stream for this presser, than the number 1 mma organization who ironically is looking for acceptance from others.
I know the UFC content pays the bills for CP but it would be nice to have some backlash for this decision that directly effects this site, maybe you could shit on UFC for a little while instead of Strikeforce all the time.
Anyway, just out of curiousity, exactly how many press cpnferences has cagepotato been invited to and how many have you not? I mean i know you had a booth at the expo next to a guy jumping rope and all, but press conference? i do not recall ever seeing a post fight and hearing 'Ben goldstein cage potato, go potato nation, i have a 3 part question for Dana.. part one, if Fedor was Italian would he be called a Fedora? And if so would you wear one to cover your bald head on cold days, and part 3 do you like skittles?"
Also, was CP really banned? Or is this a joke? Was there a letter involved? A denied press credential? Did Dana personally deliver it while fucking Ben worse than he has ever been fucked?
