Watch The UFC’s ‘Special Announcement’ Live From Rio de Janeiro at 11 a.m. ET

UFC Brazil fan made poster 2011 Rua Nogueira Wanderlei Anderson Silva Aldo Machida
(Nipmoua’s old poster design has become eerily prescient. Except for the ’200′ thing, obviously. I mean, do the math bro.)

In what’s expected to be an official announcement of the UFC’s return to Brazil in 2011, UFC president Dana White and Chairman/CEO Lorenzo Fertitta will be making a special announcement at Rio De Janeiro’s City Hall today at 11 a.m. ET, 2 p.m. local time. White and Fertitta will be joined by UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie, middleweight champion Anderson Silva, light-heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, featherweight champion Jose Aldo, #1 middleweight contender Vitor Belfort, and Eduardo Paes, the mayor of Rio. You can watch the announcement live in the video player after the jump.

@ LOKI - there are much better looking women in Argentina, and for the most part, just as ready to fuck. I agree with the Geico caveman assessment of many of them in Rio.

Yeah thats not entirely accurate. I was missled to believe it would be like Valhalla when i went down to Rio in the summer of 07 and while you are more likely to find a dime piece who is a totally filthy slut than you are in the states; you are even more likely to see the body of Jessica Alba with the head of a Geico Caveman.
And many broads who have absolutely no bussiness to even contemplate going outside without a birka, wearing no-secrets string bikinis.
The real selling point in Brazil is that they all wanna fuck and dont really play coy about it.

I tried to post a working link, but apparently the site thinks it's spam and wont display it until reviewed by admin :(

its no longer on UFC Live. They gave out a new link that just opens Media Player, but that doesnt work either. I found a working link via Twitter: hxxp://,2,203833,16,-UFC-anuncia-retorno-ao-Brasil-assista-ao-vivo but as of 11:25 it's STILL just people milling around. No press conference yet.

DW should just announce Torres/Faber as the next TUF coaches, then the winner of Vitor/Silva can coach opposite Sonnen (assuming he can win against Wanderlei) and the PPV following that show can be in Brazil.

Now we know why the Brazilians cleared all the drug gangs out of the Alemão slums. They wanted it to be safe for the UFC to come to town!
