21 Humans Who Make Being Human Look Really, Really Hard

Wednesday MMA Link Club: Brittney Palmer’s Empire, Awful Rematches, and Nick Diaz’s Title Shot

(Former UFC Octagon Girl Brittney Palmer shows off her work, shares her plans for an “art empire.” Props: MMA30tv)

Some selected highlights from our friends around the MMA blogosphere…

Dana White: If Victorious Over BJ Penn, Nick Diaz Will Get a Title Shot (LowKick)
“I expect nothing from him (at the press conferences). I expect him to be sitting right here in this chair. He doesn’t have to answer one question if he doesn’t want to. I just want him to sit there and then get up and do the (staredown). Just show up man. He’s probably going to flip everybody off and do all this other stuff – its Nick Diaz. I don’t want him to not be Nick Diaz, I just need him to show up.”

10 MMA Rematches That Should Have Never Happened (BleacherReport/MMA)
Chael Sonnen vs. Anderson Silva and the recently concluded Gray Maynard vs. Frankie Edgar trilogy are both examples of what a warranted do-over should look like…Then, there are other bouts where a decisive ending merits no speedy return for the two fighters to be joined together again inside the cage.”

‘King’ Mo Lawal Talks ‘Rampage’ Jackson: We’re Going to Fight Eventually (MMA Fighting)
“This fool Rampage calls me out, and then people get mad when I respond? He’s a b—h in my eyes, because he didn’t respond. Maybe he’ll respond later, but the word is he wants to fight [Mauricio] ‘Shogun’ [Rua]. That’s whatever.”

- Anderson Silva Doesn’t Want to Sign Autographs, He Just Wants to Dance! (The Fight Nerd)
“It looks like that case of Bieber Fever that Anderson Silva recently contracted in Brazil has worsened, as the UFC Middleweight champion was caught dancing during an autograph session at this past weekend’s UFC Fan Expo in Houston. Silva danced the night away with fans, and if you wanted to get an autograph you better be able to bust a move with the Brazilian fighter!”

- Seattle Superhero ‘Phoenix Jones’ Arrested and Charged With Assault (MMA Mania)
“This world is full of all sorts of crazy, folks. Look no further than Seattle, Washington, and the situation surrounding Ben Fodor. That’s his real name and if it sounds familiar, that’s likely because his brother, Caros Fodor, fights for Strikeforce as a lightweight. But it might also ring a bell because Ben isn’t just an aspiring professional fighter — he’s also a superhero.”

- Check Out Brock Lesnar‘s New WWE Commercial (MiddleEasy)
“Hey, you guys remember that one time when I was all like ‘Brock Lesnar signed a WWE contract’ and you were all like ‘That’s a misleading headline!’, but then I was all like ‘Your mom is a misleading mother figure’ — and then you were all like ‘I know, that’s why I’ve been going to therapy three times a week for the past year.’ Well, now we have an official WWE promo of Brock Lesnar, the first one in years — and yes they do use Brock Lesnar’s MMA angle in it.”

Chael Sonnen Can Apply For Nevada License On Dec. 1, Dana White Doesn’t Foresee Issues (MMA Convert)
“The problem for Super Bowl weekend is the UFC will probably want to have the main event nailed down by then. It would be awful risky to sign the fight not knowing if Chael could get licensed or not. Maybe they could have some kind of preliminary meeting with the NSAC to figure out which direction they’re leaning, but beyond that, I really don’t see them taking that risk. That coupled with Anderson Silva’s shoulder issues and general reluctance to agree to Sonnen’s wishes makes me think Silva vs. Sonnen II is very unlikely for Super Bowl weekend.”

- Back to Basics: Takeaways From UFC Shifting PPV Start Times Back to 10 PM EST (Fight Opinion)
“There seems to be mass panic right now about the low rating the UFC 136 prelims on Spike drew for ratings last weekend, given the two fights on the card that hardcores were interested in. It’s just proof that what excites the hardcores and the announcing team isn’t always what draws. (Ask Bellator all about that phenomena.) Sometimes, guys like Leonard Garcia move the needle by bringing in 200,000 extra fans. Other times, a fight like Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens isn’t sexy enough of a battle for casuals to care about.”

- Sizing Up the Champ (NBC Sports MMA)
“It took less than 10 minutes for Frankie Edgar to be asked the question that never goes away. Edgar had just defeated his sternest rival, Gray Maynard, and entered the UFC 136 post-fight press conference with a shiny gold belt and a swollen left eye, a trophy and a battle scar both emblematic of his fighting spirit. He’s heard the question asked a million times in a million different ways, and it’s always about his size.”

- Bellator Sues Arizona Promotion Desert Rage (MMA Payout)
“The lawsuit filed in the US District Court in Illinois (where Bellator’s principal place of business is located) states that Chance Farrar was paid to assist with Bellator’s April card in Yuma, Arizona. The Complaint filed by Bellator claims Farrar was given access to Bellator fight contracts as well as pertinent information related to negotiating with fighters. It also claims Farrar knew the terms of fighter contracts and knew the length and conditions of the contracts.”

- ‘UFC on Xbox LIVE’ Hitting Xbox 360 on December 1st (5th Round)
“On top of being able to watch live events, fans will also have access to view press conferences, fighter workouts and the official weigh-ins. Users will not be able to save events to their hard drives, but are expected to have a 24-48 hour viewing window to replay purchased shows.”

- Lyoto Machida Motivated by Status as an Underdog Against Jon Jones (Five Ounces of Pain)
“Former UFC light heavyweight title-holder Lyoto Machida is used to being the favorite whenever he steps into the ring. A 17-2 competitor, the Brazilian has beaten a number of apt adversaries and has a unique style often making him nearly impossible to hit cleanly. However, when it comes to his upcoming fight against current champion Jon Jones there’s no doubt the odds will be against “The Dragon” pulling out a win.”

"Brittney Palmer shows off her work"
She got her tits redone?

She's actually really good. The charcoal piece of the statue got my attention. The problem is how she said she mostly does art of iconic music figures... Really? You and a million other artists out there. If you want an "art empire," joining an already oversaturated market is not the way to go.

Brittney's banksy ripoffs aren't going to get her anywhere. She should stick to showing off her shitbox IMO.

If the gun store thinks i'm going to pay that much to shoot something full auto then they have lost their fucking minds. And Brittany Palmer is still hotter than a mess of greens on the back burner of a $4 stove.
