When Joe Rogan says that weed is a performance enhancer because BJJ guys take it before they train, wouldn't that mean its more of the opposite of a PED? What I mean is, you can get high and train and learn new techniques and whatnot...which i guess for a pothead could mean you learn better because your mind is "more open" or whatever you hippy fags say. The thing is, you can't smoke before you fight, so none of that training you did when you were high really matters. You're in a completely different place mentally for your actual fight (not high) than you are when you train (high). There are no lasting effects from smoking weed that make you stronger, faster, smarter, etc. Its like saying you train way better when your balls are taped to your leg but when the fight comes you can't use tape. Google "state-dependent learning" to see what I'm talking about. I love Joe Rogan and listen to his podcast religiously but his views on the positive effects of weed are hugely exaggerated IMO.

Marijuana is awesome. Both a performance enhancing and a non performance enhancing drug. EX: smoking weed will not enhance your performance in college exams, however it will enhance your halo game on xbox live. Case closed.
