Can we get some accurate stats on Toney? I thought he was 5'9" and in his fat trim about 220. In Fowlkes' article Couture is saying he is 5'11" and 240? Do we even know what weight the fight is gonna be at? It is 2 weeks out and there is no weight agreement for the bout?

On the "Brown Pride" thing... ytrebil, I don't take offense to it, since Cain has never done anything personally to me, and it isn't a symbol of a murderous past like a swastika or a stupid Che Guevara picture. But I do have an opinion on it. And I think it is absolutely stupid. Cain says he got it to take pride in the fact that there was nobody around that looked like him for him to look up to. So his solution is to further demarcate the differences between races by tattooing his chosen identity to his chest? I also think it shows a lack of respect and pride in the place that actually gave him opportunity. He says he is proud to be Mexican, not simply that he is proud that he comes from Mexican heritage. In fact, his family fled Mexico because of the awful conditions, and Cain found his ability to succeed in America. He is an American. But he chooses to identify himself as a Mexican. He doesn't show any pride in the country that allowed him to have tremendous opportunities, and that made his current life possible. Instead, he clings to the country from which his parents fled, that provided them with nothing but the skin color of which he is so proud. If he wants to identify things this way, that is fine. But we have a right to think he is a jackass for ignoring the parts of his identity that have given him all the benefits in life that he now enjoys, and choosing to focus on the parts that separate him from that society.

Plus, I just find Cain to be about the most boring interview I have ever seen. Just the dullest personality around.

On another note - how does anyone not like Pat Barry? That guy is the coolest, most down to earth fighter out there. He is a tough and exciting guy, and is so appreciative of the opportunities before him with zero sense of entitlement. I love that guy. I hope he picks up the ground game a little faster, though.

All Boxers are prone to these tactics and Toney will be no different. I said it before in posts that part of the strategy to beat Mumbles should be leg kicks. Ray Sefo training with Randy confirms for me that you will see JT limping by the end of round one.

Brown Pride – yeah it makes him look stupid and people cast opinions about him. However, I don’t really care. I don’t take offence or otherwise to it. On the subject of Cain's 'Brown Pride'...

Yes there is a double standard (you can't put 'White Pride' and not be murdered).

There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, but you should be careful not to alienate your current countrymen (In interviews, admit you're American, not Mexican, but proud of your heritage).

As much as I hate to say it, Tito had one of the best executed ways of showing his Mexican Pride with the dual flag that he carried over his massive head.

I still hope Cain beats Brock.
