What a Lonely Time to Be K.J. Noons

(Have you seen me?)

First Nick Diaz implored him not to be scared, homey. Then Jared Shaw went looking for him on the back of a milk carton. Now even Fabricio Camoes is getting in on the K.J. Noons bashfest. Maybe the force of public opinion will be enough to force Noons into a fight after all. You just have to wonder how much longer he can stand criticism like this:

“I’m waiting, I’m looking forward to fight him (KJ Noons). Inside EliteXC everybody had the chance and lost, but I’m here. I’m with six victories, two inside Elite and want to face him… I came to get his belt…I don’t know if he’ll accept a fight with me. They offered Nick Diaz and he didn’t wanted. The event is negotiating to try to put me to fight, I hope he accepts it”, said Fabricio [Camoes].

“The champion of the event picking the opponents… The champ has to fight whoever the event wants. Nick Diaz has qualities to steal his belt, and I want to get into this battle too. If you have the belt, you need to be prepared to fight everybody. Every fighter that goes to EliteXC wants to fight for the belt, nobody signs a contract thinking about fighting the worst opponent.”

Honestly, Noons needs to break his silence soon. Otherwise he risks going down in MMA lore as the champion who wouldn’t fight. It’s one thing to have Nick Diaz call you out. All that means is that you have a pulse. But when mid-level guys like Fabricio Camoes start implying that you may or may not be a total pussy, then you’re about one step away from being called out by Rue McClanahan.

For his own sake, Noons should at least let everyone know why he doesn’t want to defend his belt, whether it has to do with money, choice of opponents, or general disdain for Elite XC. Something, please. Even if he said he was quitting fighting to study jazz tap, that would still be better than nothing. We don’t want to say that he’s a punk, but he has been displaying some very punk-like qualities as of late.

Garth, you are an idiot who is about an intelligent is a garbage bag filled up of used douche at a senior home.

KJ Noons is REFUSING to fight opponents.. its not that he is taking too much off from fighting... dummy... its that he is pussing out from fighting someone that has a high probability of taking the belt from him. YOU DONT DO THAT when you are the champion.

I could be mistaken here, but I think that on Monday's show TJ DeSantis said that they would have KJ Noons on The Sherdog Radio Network during Wednesday's programming. Hopefully he'll shed some light on the situation.

Juicehead - you are an idiot. Why? Because you don't know what a mid level fighter is, and apparently lack common sense.

Camoes is without a doubt a mid level fighter. If he were to step into the cage and embarass Noons, KO Diaz, and then jump over to Japan and put a hurting on a top 10 guy, he would be a top fighter. But wait - he just KOed Sam Morgan and Joe Camacho - doesn't that count for something? Yeah, he put a hurting on two other mid level fighters.

I'm not saying Camoes isn't talented or tough or anything of the sort. Hell, I'd give him a decent shot against Noons - but then again Noons arguably hasn't officially proven itself as an elite fighter. Despite that, this guy you speak of is clearly nowhere near the top 10, or even the top 20 for that matter. Does that mean he's not capable of putting together quality wins in the future and proving himself? No, of course not. Anything can happen. But until that takes place, this guy is a mid level fighter. Stop nuthugging.

Hahahaha!

"vaja-ja" that's great!

Maybe Diaz needs to chase KJ down and go the route of Kimbo's backyard fights. Or maybe he should crash KJ's knitting party and serve him a proper beatdown while Nate films it, because obviously, KJ isn't returning his calls or emails.

hey garth, Nick has fought on 5/11/08 , 6/14/08, and 7/26/08. Noons has had only one fight since then so don't give me that shit that it has only been two months since he fought and he came out of the fight without an injury. KJ Noons is a little bitch that doesn't want to lose his little belt to a guy that he beat by a stoppage which is not even a win in my eyes. Nick Diaz wants to fight because he is a real fighter and Noons is just scared of competition.

The guys who write this drivel really need to watch MMA once in a while. To call Fabricio Camoes a mid level fighter is to show your complete lack of knowledge of mma. The guy has been around for a long time and is peaking right now. He has very little peers on the mat right now, and I would wager he makes short work of Noons. You should try researching a guy before you bash him on your website.

you all are right. i'm an idiot that needs to stop getting my information from my magic 8 ball. i wish some of you could meet me in person so you could punch me in the face for being such a big bag of douche.
ruckus- August 24, 2008 at 10:46 pm
lol garth... you must be intentionally trying to sound like an idiot...

if noons wants to take a break... then he should say... i wanna take some time off, i'll fight diaz in X months...

that isn't what's going on here.

GSP has earned his break... Nog has got a reason for his... BJ Penn is moving up, not just in weight class, but in competition... all coture wants to do is fight the best fighter in the world...

christ, i can't believe you even mentioned Penn... the guy watched GSP put on a clinic and immediately wanted to get into the cage with him.

dont be a fool.
sharper- August 24, 2008 at 10:02 pm
unless KJ got injured badly at his last fight, i see no reason why 3 months isnt enough time to get back in it. you job is to fight for christ's sake.

to garth, GSP has fought 4 times in the past 12 months, so if he wants to wait a little i think he deserves it. and big nog has a reason (the ufc always waits until after the TUF shows for them to fight...you know that...) im not sure how moving from lightweight to ww makes you a chicken.... don't believe the hype? don't believe garth.
Jburg- August 24, 2008 at 9:36 pm
It shouldn't have taken an act like this for you to determine that KJ Noons is a punk. He's a dick and a complete tool who is way too cocky and overconfident.

KJ: Don't be scared, homey.
garth- August 24, 2008 at 9:26 pm
big nog http://sherdog.com/fighter/Antonio-Rodrigo-Nogueira-1440 last fought in february. sure he's filming a show. what a pissant. and randy couture! what a chump.

GSP's not coming back this year. punk.

BJ? BJ may never fight a lightweight bout again. chicken.

don't believe the hype.
garth- August 24, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Noons fought 6/14/2008. that's two months ago plus eleven days.

seriously, you all need to stop buying into the bullshit. this is all diaz and exc trying to stir up...well, YOU.
