ProElite has put together a new promo video to hype the Kimbo Slice/Tank Abbott fight on February 16. Two things stand out: First, Tank only gets about 1.5 seconds of screen time; maybe this was done so that uninformed Kimbo fans don’t see recent footage of Tank in action and immediately lose their excitement for this ugly mismatch. Second, ProElite is getting a lot of mileage from Kimbo’s three-punch victory over Bo Cantrell. This is like the video-editing equivalent to Native Americans using every part of the buffalo.
So let’s try to call it. I’m saying that the fight will end at 0:59 of the first round — generous, I know — with Kimbo winning it by TKO (punches). Kimbo got owned by that police officer a couple of years ago. No lungs for Kimbo. If you want to see to out-of-shape guys throwing wild punches for 30 seconds, this is it. They will both have to fight with oxygen tanks and masks to make it past the 1st round. I see better fights on campus after 2:00, I will skip this one....

Lets see kinbo agianst a real Fighter. I will give him this, he can take a punch and he is a hell of a street fighter. What has he done in MMA? Bo quit faster than the French run from a War and he chokes out a has been boxer. Lets see him fight someone that is at best a Decent MMA fighter. jesus christ. you guys give up on tank so easy? kimbo is a tough guy but has the same strengths as tank. anyone remember when tank used to fight? you know you used to love him knock out people. he fought some hard fights as well. don frye. maurice smith. vitor belfort. hes got the experience and kimbo hasnt had any tough fights in his mma debut, and if you watch his street vids the guys he was fighting were pretty bad. no skills whatsoever. just big and tough. too bad he didnt take MMA serious and train properly. i still got respect for him though. and i bet he is takin his training seriously this time. im goin tank by tko. 1:50 into first round.
