All the commercials I've seen on Spike for the Silva vs. Irvin event have flashed the phrase "6 fights" on screen near the end. Should we expect that the main card will have 6 live fights, or are they just guaranteeing that one of the prelims will be televised?
ben Says:
It is 6 fights...Silva/Irvin plus the other five on the main card. It's a three-hour broadcast, though, so we might get at least one undercard match anyway.
Plain old Kevin Says:
I cannot figure Franklin out. Guy seems like a dick sometimes and pretty cool at other times. At least he didn't count Irvin out completely. I do understand why he would think so much of Anderson. If some dude whooped my ass twice then I sure would want to believe that he can beat anyone.
Card looks entertaining and I am sure it will be better than last weeks.

I am telling you, Irvin will handle Silva no problem. Refer back to this post on July 20th and you will see I am right
BIG CHRIS Says:
Irvin has no chance....If they let him get two unanswered hits on Silva right in the face with a brick right before the bell rings he might be able to pull it off then....Other than that he is going to be completly dominated.
Ryan B Says:
I know Anderson is a great fighter, but so is Irvin. I would be inclined to say Silva will win, but I would never count Irvin out. Like Irvin said, they have weight classes for a reason. Plus, the only reason Silva is fighting LHW is because Dana told him to.
The odds are rediculous right now, you would have to bet way too much on Silva to make a buck. Not worth it to bet on Silva, but it might be worth it to pluck down a 100 bucks on the Sandman.
James Irvin +405
Anderson Silva -555

Medium Seen Says:
how come if you watch the early fights with anderson silva vs rich franklin or chris leben it says he's 5'11 and now he is 6'2? (according to the UFC website). He looks 6'2 to me, but really, how do u fuck that up?
Deth Says:
*refers to Irvin winning*
