What were you thinking with that music, guys? Ughhhh... it was like doing heroin and slowly bleeding out in a luke warm bathtub.

It's like beating the fuck out of someone to the song Yellow by Coldplay.

Know how I know YOU'RE gay? You like Coldplay.

The intro credits really needed to be one minute long?

Aside from that, great footage.

imabigfan- March 22, 2011 at 3:43 pm
awesome vid. really fun, save the coldplay. sorry to hate (not really) but you also play some arcade fire and other whatnot that illustrates you can actually hear. which is nice.

@Savage Henry- agreed. Even more fun in five/ten years. Oh the car dealerships that could benefit from the personal appearances. It would make Ashley Schaeffer BMW proud.

Nice work!
Savage Henry- March 22, 2011 at 2:44 pm
Very cool. Would also be cool to see an "After they were stars" video, with Tim Sylvia writing people tickets, Tito getting arrested for hitting a pornstar the wrong way, Ken Shamrock fighting Ross Clifton, Chuck Lidell in his new position as official Zuffa mascot, and Kimo's various meth-fueled hijinx.

I'm guessing the video quality is bad so they could make the old videos shot on a shaky cell phone cam in brazil in 2001 look similar to the one of Jon Jones' first fight in 2008. Uniformity bro, google it.

Love how the Jose Aldo head kick was timed to the music. Nicely done video editor.
noname- March 22, 2011 at 1:28 pm
Why is the video quality so bad? It's not artistic it's just crappy. Other than that the video was great.
Kid Clam Curtains- March 22, 2011 at 1:25 pm
Good stuff. You need to make it about 2 hours long and include more of these guys' fights. I'm expecting big things out of this Georges St. Pierre guy.

Try the RSS Feed button. Takes you directly to the story you want, past the jump and all. I don't recall the last time I was on the CP home page.
manutdfan- March 22, 2011 at 1:16 pm
Never mind. He posted on twitter he was booted.
manutdfan- March 22, 2011 at 1:14 pm
Great stuff. Has anyone heard if Karma was kicked out of tryouts or not?
humperdinkal- March 22, 2011 at 1:09 pm
Overeem reminds me of Kid from Kid n'play with that eraser head of his.
dandaman- March 22, 2011 at 12:59 pm
Hey CP writers. Please don't have a "Read More" jump if the rest of the post is just tags.

I know you guys make money off people getting that extra click but it's a real pain in the ass and plain bad practice as a website.
Morningwood- March 22, 2011 at 12:56 pm
It was a good production, is it complete or will you expand it? Maybe in before they were stars volume 10, you can show Karma's first fight. I agree with rogerw, I need to find some early Vand fights to watch.
Morningwood- March 22, 2011 at 12:55 pm
Where are the video's of Bisping practicing spitting on the play ground and throwing illegal knees to down 1st graders.
nickyroose- March 22, 2011 at 12:54 pm
Nice shit CP
rogerw- March 22, 2011 at 12:54 pm
The Wanderlei video is fucking amazing, I've got to watch some of his older fights some time.
Morningwood- March 22, 2011 at 12:53 pm
It might sound like an exaggeration, but I genuinely believe that Fightville, I mean, “Before they were stars,”may be one of the best things to happen to the sport in the last couple of years.
LOKI- March 22, 2011 at 12:49 pm
That music gives me the creeps. It sounds like the promo song from the live action 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
Stak40- March 22, 2011 at 12:45 pm
Shit yall know what i mean.
Stak40- March 22, 2011 at 12:45 pm
This shit is dope. It kind of feels incomplete without the spider and the emperor not included.
PERPATRAITOR- March 22, 2011 at 12:41 pm
I like it! Overeem is a damn child in his debut for sure. Jones was born the beat ass.
