I would say that a top executive of a multi-million-dollar company (it isn't billion because a company is only worth what someone will pay for it and nobody is offer $2 billion to buy Zuffa in the current market) should be a bit more professional, but hey its Dana and he's been a spouting this type of venom since he was a fitness instructer so whatever. Sherdog's article isn't the tightest piece of investigative journalism I have ever read. Reducing the number of backstage credentials at the same time Zuffa is attempting to push itself in the middle of fighter sponsorhip deals does seem to have a connection. Also the mention of the long-reported cash bonuses paid out (not included in reported Athletic Commission reports of fighter purses paid) also makes the banning of business advisors backstage raise an eyebrow. It creates a situation where a fighter might not report this income to his agent who may have an contractual right to a percentage of said payment. However no direct connection is made, unless fighters are being asked to sign business deals backstage without their representation being present or giving the fighter a chance to consult with his advisor. Its an interesting article, but more based on conjecture than facts of the UFC implementing unfair business practices.

Although I would say the UFC is not guilty of the sins and implied improper dealings Sherdog accuses them of in the article, the UFC does have a slight perception problem here with only banning certain fighter representatives along with its handling of certain contractual matters such as the Fitch firing, the Roger Huerta freeze-out, etc. By having Dana go off on an explitive-laced rift on the article draws attention away from the real issue. There are certain business practices the UFC engages in that although are not improper certainly pushes the limits.

Dana raises an excellent point when he mentions that he as a manager never required backstage access to Lidell and Ortiz. If the only goal was to address the arguments raised in Sherdog's article he could have left it at that. Going off with multiple very bad words takes it a step further and moves the attention away from the core issue raised. Dana isn't as dumb as the internet community likes to paint him to be based on his habit of having this episodes for public consumption.

All that said, I for one would like to encourage Dana and everyone to think twice before using the term "faggot" as a way of insulting someone's manhood. Using it to call someone a cigerette butt is completely fine. "Faggot" is a word that should be placed on the same shelf as "bitch" and "nigger" when used in the manner in which Dana is using it. I agree with Cage Potato his use of "bitch" is overboard, but no more so than his use of "faggot". And no, I'm not gay, but I don't think the manner in which someone chooses to have physical relations with his fellow humans has anything to do with their courage, fortitude, or need to hide behind an anonymous quote the way a "pussy" does. Just a poor choice of explitives that should be addressed on the same level as other poor choices of explitives.
