Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Knockout of the Day: Chad Leonhardt vs. Dan Keenan @ Bellator IX

(Courtesy of

Though Hector Lombard drew most of the attention at Friday’s Bellator show, the night’s best stoppage belonged to Chad Leonhardt — great name for a fighter, by the way — who scored a YouTube-worthy first-round KO over Daniel Keenan. Watch as Leonhardt crushes Keenan with an overhand right, then puts him to sleep with a mouthpiece-ejecting knee to the face. Thanks, Chad. Bellator’s upcoming schedule is after the jump…

Bellator X, June 5th in Ontario, California: Joe Soto vs. Yahir Reyes for featherweight title; plus Wilson Reis vs. Roberto Vargas, and Matt Horwich vs. Bryan Baker

Bellator XI, June 12th in Uncasville, Connecticut: Omar De La Cruz vs. Lyman Good for welterweight title

Bellator XII, June 19th in Hollywood, Florida: Eddie Alvarez vs. Toby Imada for lightweight title, Hector Lombard vs. Jared Hess for middleweight title; plus Jorge Masvidal vs. Eric Reynolds

Remember, Bellator has a powerhouse like ESPN behind them. They should last longer than Elite XC. Agreed?

Bellator is really impressing me. They have a really good tourny set up (which hasn't been completely derailed by injuries - praise to which ever god Bellator is sacrificing babies to) and the fights have been great with plenty of highlight reel moments. It's like they stepped up and started challenging the WEC right away.

It's good to see this level of fighting in non UFC organization. The announcers aren't half bad either

@ Terrence

Agreed. I think a real professional should know when he has won a fight. Props to Leonhardt for doing it right.

@ terrence - agreed.

Bellator is consistently putting together exciting shows. I wonder how they are doing business-wise

They were great fights. That knockout was sick. 6 of the other 8 fights ended with finishes....... 40 dollars was the max cost for tickets. I will definately go again if they come back

Bellator is looking more and more interesting all the time. I hope ESPN starts making dedicated TV English rebroadcasts soon.

well gotta respect him for not jumping on top of the guy and hitting him after the knockout like some of these punks in dream and ufc

don't know why we don't see more effective knees like that from a sprawl where you have a whizzer or front headlock and hit him with some knees as he comes up. Or even pick him up with the tie so it's legal and blast him.

That was like an Undisputed knockout with the mouthpiece and all.
