For #3, maybe you just didn't realize, but if you watch the extended gif version of that it paints a much different picture.
Rampage looks to be trying to lighten the mood, but Jones just ignores it and you almost feel bad for Jackson when he realizes he isn't being funny and is just making an ass of himself:
