(Paul Daley vs. Scott Smith, 12/4/10)
With 81.5% of his victories coming by way of strikes, Paul Daley has reason to be confident in his chances against Nick Diaz this Saturday. Semtex has gone 4-0 since his notorious loss to Josh Koscheck at UFC 113, and is currently riding back-to-back first-round knockouts of Scott Smith and Yuya Shirai. Of course, Diaz deserves to be a 2-1 favorite, but Daley is always one punch away from producing another devastating knockout. Here are nine of his best moments. (All videos cued up near the good stuff.)
(Paul Daley vs. Junior Barata, 4/18/09)
(Paul Daley vs. Daniel Weichel, 3/10/07)
(Paul Daley vs. Sam Morgan, 1/25/08)
(Paul Daley vs. Paul Jenkins, 4/21/07)
(Paul Daley vs. Duane Ludwig, 6/22/07)
(Paul Daley vs. Martin Kampmann, 9/19/09; Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett, 1/2/10)

commentsOf for f*ck's sake. Daley's little love-tap was really not the dirtiest thing done in the UFC ever. Professional athletes have sometimes been known to get frustrated and do stupid shit. Sometimes they even hit each other. It's not clever, and it's really what you want to see in a sport that's still trying to get itself accepted, but it's really not unheard of.
And as evidence of douchebaggery, it probably wasn't even the worst thing done in that fight. Koshcheck faking the injury from the illegal knee was about as cynical and bitchy as it gets. It's also something that could hurt the sport pretty badly if people started following his example. Daley just got a bit pissed off, which, as KMagician says, is actually pretty understandable in the circumstances.
I'd say you were all just hating on Daley because he was British, but Bisping's done some fairly dirty shit recently and, whilst he's not exactly popular, there don't seem to be as many people saying that we have to tar and feather him lest anyone ever be tempted to try such a thing again.
So can we all just be honest about this and admit that the reason Daley gets singled out has very little to do with smacking Josh Koshcheck and a whole lot to do with his refusal to pucker up and kiss Dana White's arse about it?
Now you can think he's stupid for doing that, or arrogant, or whatever, but that's what we're discussing, right? When people start calling him a dick, what they basically mean is that he should roll over and play nice with the bosses.
A douche vs a cunt, its a perfect match up.
Word up to LOKI
The dude has appologized profusely and he is a very entertaining fighter, he didnt use PEDs he didnt grease, he didnt eye gouge, groin strike or knee the head of a downed opponent(right?) He was frustrated because he is Brittish and therefore allergic to wrestling and who knows what sweet nothings Kos was wispering in his ears while on the mat?
Gilbert Yvel is one of the most notoriously dirty fighters in the game...Before he was signed by the UFC and he is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet...outside of the ring or cage, which is the same vibe I get from Daley.
