Overeem Passes Conditional Drug Test; UFC 141 Bout With Brock Lesnar Official for Dec. 30

Alistair Overeem has met the first of three required stipulations of his conditional licensing in Nevada today as he passed his pre-fight urine test administered a few weeks ago in Holland.

UFC president Dana White tweeted the news today.

The two remaining conditions “The Demolition Man” will have to meet to remain licensed by NSAC are that he will have to pass an additional test when he arrives in the U.S. for his upcoming December 30 UFC 141 bout with Brock Lesnar and he will also be required to submit to unannounced random testing over the next six months.

For those not keeping score, the Nevada commission nearly kaboshed the bout when Overeem failed to adhere to its request for a random pre-fight test within a reasonable amount of time, but relented and gave the former Strikeforce heavyweight fighter a second chance to right the situation by granting him the conditional license.

Anyone underestimating either of these fighters woul be a huge mistake.
I had my doubts about Brock, as I stopped watching WWF style wrestling before the Ultimate Warrior juiced out at 32? I still think that his path to the championship was a little too easy but he has proved himself as a legitimate wrestler (NCAA already knew this) & a dangerous striker.
On the other hand Overeem has a huge highlight reel but I was not impressed at all with his last performance that he barely made it out of alive.

At this point I give a slight advantage to Brock...

Juice or no juice, I can't wait to see this fight

I personally don’t think that overeem nor lesnar are on the juice.

You guys are going to be so dissapointed when the fight is cancelled coz Lesnar pisses hot!

I didn't bother reading them all and may be some slight exceptions but it seems like "first bitches" was the highlight of this comment section for intelligence and insight.

^ We know where to get our news buddy, you are like a street whore that walks into a brothel and tries to undercut the higher class working girls, shame on you.
@ Armfarmer, you hit the nail on the head with your last two comments, I mean it's not like Overeems haters are just jealous because he slayed the unbeatable Brett Rogers or Duff Man. December 20, 2011 at 7:21 pm
I think Overeem may be overlooking Lesnar which is a major mistake.

Yeah, I'm afraid Overeem has bit off more than he can chew. Brock will weather a storm and then gnp when Overeem is gassed and/or looking for a way out. Overeem actually said that he was happy with his cardio in the fight with Werdum. That's ridiculous - he's going to have to do better than that.

The old Bob Sapp maneuver
TeilaTuliTooth- December 20, 2011 at 3:12 pm
Both fighters are kinda stingy on that whole heart thing.
This could be the first instance where both fighters crawl up into a ball at the same time.

The secret is just to use an embarrassingly small fake penis to deliver your specimen of clean urine. The guy checking to see if you are actually pissing in the jar will be so embarrassed for you he'd never think you'd choose a fake winkie that small. Then make excuses about it being cold and stuff lol

I stand corrected, for some reason I was under the impression Overeem had beaten anyone good at hw. This is not the case. Guess I'm a victim of the hype. If I were still gambling I'd be tempted to lay a bet down on brock. Does anyone know if PED's do anything for a fighters heart or will to win?? Cuz Overeem didn't have much at lhw.
ArmFarmer- December 20, 2011 at 1:03 pm
This is coming from a guy that thinks Sean Sherk is innocent btw. I almost always give fighters the benefit of the doubt, but this one I have a hard time with.

Stak... Please, this is not the place for logic, rationalization or basic reasoning. Thank you for your cooperation.
ArmFarmer- December 20, 2011 at 1:01 pm
I love how much hate we get for being a little suspicious of a guy who's been nicknamed "the incredible expanding overeem" who use to be a lanky lhw that got the shit kicked out of him by any top fighter, and then swole up to an enormous hw and started dominating the world. Not to mention when he held an American title in an American organization, yet spent almost 3 years competing in Japan where they don't test. Fucking pardon me for having my doubts... lol
Stak40- December 20, 2011 at 12:48 pm
I mean DW doesn't tweet every time one of his fighter passes a drug test so the fact he did it with Overeem is at the very least interesting.

Ginas_jugs- December 20, 2011 at 12:36 pm
Why is it news that Overeem passed a drug test when there's no evidence that he ever failed one?
El Guapo- December 20, 2011 at 12:22 pm
Yeahhhhh... that's... what... we... were thinking.
itsgalf- December 20, 2011 at 12:21 pm
Sweet. It's on like Donkey Kong!
google- December 20, 2011 at 12:11 pm
So you dumb fucks where hoping he failed so the fight would be cancelled?
El Guapo- December 20, 2011 at 12:08 pm
Uber passed his test...which was administered a few weeks ago... while he was in Holland.
The same test he initially avoided taking by fleeing, I mean flying, from the U.S. to Europe.
And now all he has to do is take a pre-fight piss test when he gets back from overseas, which will be about a month or so from his first "random" test?
Great job, Nevada State Athletic Commision, on the CP Facepalm of the Day award. You had tough competition from the reigning face palm champion that everybody loves to hate, but you managed to overcome long odds and win it going away. I salute you, NSAC, you earned it.
Joedirt- December 20, 2011 at 11:57 am
He'll eventually get caught... same as Lesnar.
