well, over the past two years he's had diverticulitis and had 12 inches of colon removed. I'd say there's a pretty good chance he's lost some weight. Before I had my gallbladder removed I was a walking skeleton because I could hardly eat anything. He's probably had to go through the same thing since developing diverticulitis.
