For those who are still convinced that Steven Seagal‘s relationship with Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida is some oddball marketing ploy, the Brazilian fight show Passing the Guard has released a teaser clip of their next episode, which does indeed show Seagal training Machida just before his UFC 129 fight against Randy Couture.

It also gives you a pretty good sense of Seagal’s coaching style, which is pretty much the polar opposite of Greg Jackson-style lovey-doveyness. Listen close as he says the following: “Use your mind. Use your mind. I don’t care if you kill him. I don’t care. You fuck him up. You take him out.” Hey, you can’t argue with success — but it’s interesting that Seagal is playing the bad-guy teacher in his life’s latest role. And after so many heroic performances…

the segeal van damm thing only happend , cause jcvd said it happened at a party at stallones house in 1997, when jcvd was 36 and seagal was 47 no where other than that has it been verified... it could have happend but i doubt it myslef

@joe dirt. the steven seagal story has spawned about nine different version. the truth is steve said he could get out of the choke and not get choked out. gene labell said lets try. steve knife chopped labell in the nuts a few times, but that cagey old bastard didnt let go till segeal fell asleep... now either labell's old nuts are to small to effect? or Labell is so old his nerve receptors dont work, it was not a real contest or anything between them , it was a matter of i can get out of it, and no you cant, segeal lost that one.

^as far as the backing down thing from Jean claude van Damm, , that never happened. BUT what did happen is JCVD was Mouthing off IN a Bar to Chuck Zito (former hells angel and all around tough guy) and Zito stood up and KTFO JCVD

@jfjjfjff - I think its a fair statement not to mention that I like that mentality. Since when did everyone in a sport based on beating your opponent half to death, knocking them out, submitting them or breaking their limbs become about giving a fuck what happens in the cage. Don't mistake it though I did NOT enjoy seeing the Machida vs Couture fight it made me sad. He's right you can't have any emotional attachment or concern for whats going to happen to your opponent.
